The rest of the day was great! I got a tour of the mansion from Yael. The best thing he showed me was the shower! I ended the tour early and hopped in the shower.
I was so happy when water rained down on me. The shower works! Howard's cousin really thought ahead!
I never realized how much I missed showers and the feeling of being clean. You should've saw my face when I saw all the dirt slid down my body and into the drain. I finally washed my hair, brushed my teeth, and scrubbed my face with a rag.
I came out of the bathroom with a silk robe around my body feeling completely refreshed. Alex approached me with a plastic bag full of clothes.
"While you were in the shower, I washed your clothes". She said sweetly.
"Thanks Alex". I smiled and took my clothes.
"Is the little one gonna be okay?" She asked. I was surprised she was concerned.
"I hope so, I have faith in her". I answered honestly. Alex sighed in relief.
"Good, I can't handle another child suffering". "They shouldn't have to go through this". "Little ones like yours probably won't even remember what the world was like..." Alex zoned off into her own trance. She seemed to be in a deep memory, then she came back.
"Sorry for like...going all mystic and depressing on you all the sudden". She said with a sly smile. I chuckled.
"Its okay". I assured.
"Well I'm gonna hit the hay, got a long day ahead of us". She turned on her heel and walked to her room.
I changed clothes (in the bathroom) then went to check on Ozzie.
She was still asleep. Dozens of glass for water stood next to her on the nightstand. I went to the other side of the bed and pulled the sheets over me and went to sleep.
The sun shined through the windows causing me to wake up. It might've been 12 in the afternoon. I couldn't believe I slept so late. Well...it wasn't that hard to believe. Yesterday I was tired, clean, and had a full stomach, how can you not sleep for hours with all those things?
The feeling of waking up in a bed was wonderful. I hadn't realized how much I missed that too.
"Morning Leo". Ozzie said with sleep in her voice.
"Morning, do you feel better?" I asked.
"Yeah but I'm tired". She answered.
"Ok then, stay in bed intill you're ready to get up". I said getting out of bed.
I watched Ozzie quickly drift back to sleep then I headed downstairs. Everyone was in the kitchen eating breakfast. I wonder when those generators run out of power.
Tyreese ran up and pecked me on the lips. "Morning". He smiled.
"Hey...what's for breakfast?" I asked.
" Eggs and waffles". Yael muttered as he sipped his drink. I nodded and went over to fix my plate. "I already sent Alex and Tyler out". Yael added.
I sat down next to Yael and Tyreese joined me. Sooner or later I'll have to break it to him that I'm not interested. I'm really not looking forward to that.
There were fast heavy footsteps coming down the stairs. Everyone looked to see Ozzie entering the kitchen. She had changed clothes, took a bath, and looked well and healthy. She smiled at everyone and introduced herself.
