I looked at Ozzie as tears welled in her eyes. She was shaking and started to panic.

"I-I-I I ate some!" She cried breathing quickly. "I-I didn't know it was the bad meat". " I'm gonna die an-and eat people!" "I-I don't wanna die!"

I grabbed her shoulders and looked her in the eye. "No Ozzie, you are not gonna die". I said meaning it. There is no way I'm letting her die. She calmed down and tried to stop crying.

I searched her looking for some kind of way to cure her then did the first thing that came to mind. I pushed my hand into her mouth and pushed her tongue back. She immediately started to throw up everything on my shirt. I moved out the way dodging the rest of her chunky vomit.

Just then, a zombie bust out the door of the basement. It was a Jerson. All of the Jersons must be zombies now, that's 13 zombies we have to deal with.

I rushed over to the basement door and kicked the zombie down the stairs. Then I slammed the door.

"Block the door with something!" I cried.

Jonah pushed a big dresser infront of the door. The zombies banged on the door, clawed at it making allot of noise.  It was good but it wouldn't hold forever.

Adam and Hudson were still grieving over Lexy. I went over to them.

"There are zombies inside the house, I need your help, please".

Hudson looked up at me with tears rolling down his face. "What time is it?"

"What?" "What does that have to do with anything?"

"What time is it?" He repeated. I looked up at the clock.

"9:55". I answered. Hudson stood up wiped his tears away.

"There's a 10 pm wave". Hudson said. "Every night about 20 or so demons brush pass the house at 10". "They've never attacked us b-because the Lord protected us so we don't have to worry about them".

I dashed over to the window and looked outside. I could already see several zombies shuffling towards the house. It probably wasn't God protecting them, it was the fact that this house was usually quiet when they passed so they didn't think to check it. The house wouldn't be quiet anymore, not with these zombies yelling and banging on the basement door. And when those zombies get close, they will hear the noise and they will come for us.

"We need to get out of here!" I said.

"No, this is our home and we're not going anywhere!" Hudson said. "Just sit down, the Lord will see us through this".

"No, Hudson". "Just because you put all your faith in God doesn't mean he wants you to sit and not fight". "Lexy almost killed Adam and he didn't even do anything, he was about to die if I didn't step in!" "That's what happens when you sit and let God do all the work!"

Hudson nodded. "Y-you're right, what do you want us to do?"

What type of question is that?!?  Then it hit me, these guys are unexperienced survivors. I doubt they've even killed a zombie before or even know how to properly make a barricade. They had no weapons. They've had everything handed to them.

The sound of zombies banging on the glass windows and doors filled the room.

"We need to barricade the windows and doors". I commanded. "Use anything that can hold".

Everyone did what I said. I went over to Ozzie.

"Are you ok?" I asked wiping the mess off the corners of her mouth.

"Yes, no, my throat hurts from throwing up". She answered. I didn't know if throwing it up helped or not but I'm not going to abandon my sister. Infected or not.
