Withstood

I write from my heart,
I don't know from where you draw,
Emotions just tend to spark,
Then suddenly I'm in awe

I feel something majestic,
So the images I draw,
With words manifested,
From feelings that often claw

On the walls of my house,
That harbor all my emotions,
It draws everything out,
And I have to give my devotion

I have to bare my soul,
And put it out in the open,
Like a secret is being told,
Yet I'm the one exposing

Every dark corner that's hidden,
Every ounce of grief I've felt,
All the thoughts I hold forbidden,
That I keep deep to myself

The love that I'm expecting,
And the love that I experienced,
The feelings that I neglected,
Plus the crumbling of my pyramid

I give it all it's my truth,
So I hope you take it inspired,
Because these words are my proof,
That I withstood all the fire.
