All Is Taken

I once believed in us and the love in which we planted,
Spent years building the structure proofing it from all damage,
I even built a fail safe if we started to get outlandish,
And you stood firm by my side I was honored to have you standing

By my side it was lovely we filled a lonely blank canvas,
With laughter, hopes, promise stemming within our planet,
We started to grow more daily I thought what we had we managed,
Until fangs started to show and I saw you now as a challenge,

You took the world that we built and started removing bricks,
The foundation began to crumble I'm starting to say it's it,
I knew we were polar opposites but slowly we came to mix,
Until now you've changed your ways and started to show new tricks,

You've broken my beating heart and my paper heart you've crinkled,
If love wasn't your goal why didn't you stay single,
If you put in efforts to hurt me would it killed you to stay and mingle,
You just lured me in with your lust and deceit you surely have sprinkled

You had alternate motives I'm wondering why'd you do this,
You said you coveted my heart but your intentions were ruthless,
So vague now I was clueless I gave my all to the movement,
Our relationship was my life but to you treated me very foolish,

It's hard to say that I'm fine when I invested some time to you,
Been there even soothed you  till now you doing me brutal,
I hope you got what you wanted my love words can't move you,
Just end it you've taken all that I've ever had deep into you.
