Sinking

Sinking beyond your grasp unable to hear a thing,
Silence!
Surrounded by this solitary place of emptiness,
Drowning within the contents of this ocean

Unable to rise for this anchor weighs me down,
This anchor of sadness I've dragged within,
Now rearing it's ugly head pulling me into the abyss,
Of unsettled sorrows created from tears left uncried,

Sinking within the vast existence within,
That hollow part that wants to take control to render me heartless,
That inner being like a shark lurking in the darkness,
Ready to breach and leave every piece of me breathless

Sinking into the shallow speech of these words,
Leaving stories untold by the author afraid of being judged,
By those who can't see the vision that truth lies within the heart,
Not in the tongue nor the mind,

I'm sinking and I can't find my way,
Lost within my mind trying to escape,
For what lives there is scary there's horrors unseen,
But I'm sinking within myself trying to find my true meaning.
