Yesterday

Yesterday I was on a high,

Chasing a wave feeling the vibe,

Feeling intense against the tide,

Now I'm a vessel deadened inside,

You left me broken paralyzed,

Because today I can't look in your eyes,

I gave a choice and what you decide,

Is walking away leaving the lies

I have no choice I'll tell you goodbye,

You wanna be happy I'll never deny,

Your chance to be, all that you try,

But don't think of me whenever you cry

When yesterday I was all that you needed,

I took what was futile, livid, deleted,

And made it a miracle upped and exceeded,

The boundaries set when you were depleted

I gave you the loving, I listened and heeded,

I did all the things for you to be treated,

Above and beyond when you were defeated,

But now we've changed I feel all the grievance.

Yesterday was the best and now today I'm hollow and empty.
