I never thought you would break it,
But judging by that statement,
I flagrantly was mistaken
It's hard to look at you,
And not think of the time wasted,
The energy I put in,
You have me feeling forsaken
Untouchable due to the venom,
I mustered up over time,
From the love I thought we had,
It was clearly all in my mind
You told me that I mattered,
Yet alone I stand in place,
Every part of me you had captured,
I feel like such a disgrace
I was kind, gentle, and warm,
Even softly stroked your face,
When your crocodile tears,
Was the image that's on display
It's nothing left I can say,
I'll just let you live life free,
Because it's obvious from your choice,
It's surely not here with me.
