"I figured you'd show up sooner or later." Kabuto coiled back like a snake. Hagami could barely hear him because of the ringing still in her ears but she acted like she could. "You know, I did count on you to show up sooner or later but I didn't think you'd be this late which is why I didn't exactly give you your presents." Kabuto sluggishly placed his right hand on the ground.
Hagami's hand produced a kunai she had snagged off of a shinobi earlier. Throwing it straight at Kabuto, he refrained from what he was doing so he wouldn't get his hand caught by the kunai. Hagami's eyes narrowed and Kabuto hissed under his breath.
"I wouldn't let you reanimate someone here." Hagami snapped at him as she got into an offensive position fighting stance.
"Hagami, don't stray too far from my side or Sasuke's." Itachi walked up beside her and placed a hand on her shoulder. Right then, she felt Itachi begin to amass much of his own chakra into his left eye.
"Baka-" she snapped at him.
"Don't call me that." Itachi retorted calmly. "You've done enough, but you can help." He said and Sasuke approached her on the right.
"Just don't kill him, right?" Hagami asked for clarification.
"Ah." Sasuke responded begrudgingly but he'd heed to Itachi's orders. "But like you'd be able to kill him."
"True, but I came close to it once." Hagami murmured and she took off first. Though Kabuto had the strength of Sage Mode, Hagami had her own speed on her side. When she leapt up, her brought her right heel down onto his raised arm. The shock shoved Kabuto a bit into the ground. When Kabuto reached for her ankle, she arched backward and twisted out of his grasp. She landed on the ground and jumped backward.
When she landed and Sasuke and Itachi ran forward.
"Sasuke," Itachi called out as they split paths. They stopped at either side of Kabuto a few meters away. "Do you remember that time you tagged along with Hagami and I on my mission? The wild boar?"
I get it now. They're going for that approach so Itachi can use the Kinjutsu. Hagami bit her lip as she stared at her friends. Using the technique was risky, too risky for Hagami even to consider. It had a loophole out, and she wasn't eager to see it fail--though that was still highly doubtable considering it'd be Itachi who's the caster. But this also means that it's going to put a strain on the mind during the fight as well since physical sensation must be remembered up until the point of completion.
"Oh that, I remember." Sasuke said as his Susanoo flared around him.
"Let's go." Itachi said as Hagami felt the jutsu come into action. Sasuke agreed and the Susanoo around both Itachi and Sasuke became more humanoid. "And don't hit a vital spot." Hagami began amassing chakra, remembering that if Itachi was going to use the shuriken from his Susanoo, flames would add the effects of a smoke screen.
"I know!" Sasuke snapped and Hagami saw a bow and arrow forming along his Susanoo. Meanwhile, Itachi darted forward and paused as Hagami weaved hand signs.
"Katon, Gōkakyū no Jutsu (Fire Style, Fireball Jutsu)!" Hagami closed her mouth tighter than it normally would be so the fire would shoot out in more of a stream and split off later. She ran as fast as lightning until she was just barely in front of Itachi. As the shuriken manifested by Itachi were thrown, Hagami released her jutsu.
She angled her fire along with Itachi's shurikens and they collided with the ground, making Kabuto leapt to the ceiling. Though his eyes were already covered, the added amount of chakra made it harder to detect everyone's positions.
