Hagami would've been able to strike Madara if it weren't for her body freezing up. Or rather something halting her in her own footsteps. She struggled to move around, but she held her limbs being held in place for the most part. Her head could move slightly, but that was all she could manage. In a way, it felt like her own jutsu was being used against her but she knew Madara didn't possess that power granted from either the Rinnegan or the Sharingan. It was something else.

"What is this?" Hagami asked as Madara turned around. He took a few steps away from her, just in case she had a trick up her sleeve.

"A power that only someone with the Rinnegan can possess." Hagami's eyes narrowed. "It's similar to your own power, but unlike your's, mine is much stronger. You won't be able to break--"

"Haah!" Hagami had enough strength to jerk her head up. It wasn't a surprise that she saw Sasuke hurtling over her with his katana in his hand. He lashed out at Madara and he forfeited his control over whatever jutsu was holding Hagami in place. She stumbled, but then recovered as she twirled another kunai in her hand.

Sasuke held his ground better than Hagami could against Madara, partially due to the fact that he hadn't exhausted all of his chakra yet. But either way, she knew that Madara would get the upper hand eventually.

I'll have to create some kind of diversion in order to have any chance of giving Sasuke the upper hand. Hagami thought as she lunged forward. Madara's back was facing her again, so she assumed that she'd be fine charging toward his blind spot. Although it was seen as morally wrong to strike from the blind spot, Hagami had no problem in doing so right now.

She swung the kunai in her hand toward the back of Madara's neck. She was lucky to even be able to graze his hair as she feinted to her right. He rolled on his shoulder and then held his hand out to the two of them.

Again, the feeling of someone holding them back sealed their movements.

"You gave me a scare there," Hagami could hear the sarcasm dripping from Madara's voice, "but I caught the two of you now. I don't think there'll be anymore interference either." His eyes locked onto Sasuke first and it was then that Hagami realized that Madara was holding his katana.

Madara proceeded to walk to Sasuke too, getting a feel of the katana before he lifted it up. Dread filled Hagami when she realized that Madara had angled it toward his heart.

"NO!" She shouted and she felt the jutsu surrounding her give slightly. Madara faltered slightly too, to spare a glance at Hagami. "Don't touch him! Kill me, and take my eye for all I care, just don't kill Sasuke!" Her voice became raspy by the end. Desperation was clearly evident in her eyes as well. "I'm supposed to be dead anyway."

"You're right about everything you said. But unlike you, you're only a hinderance I can deal with later. Sasuke, however, poses a real threat like the Jinchūriki once did." Madara let the words register in her mind.

"Wait...you don't mean..." Hagami trailed off. "Naruto's...dead?"

"Like the rest of the Jinchūriki." Madara's face twisted into a cruel smirk and Hagami let out a growl of anguish. "I'll finish you, once I'm done with Sasuke."

He angled the blade up again, the tip of it barely grazing Sasuke's shirt when Madara began speaking again, "In order to protect something...one must sacrifice something else."

"Stop, Madara!" Hagami saw Tobirama still present, but at best he was still reduced to an immobile corpse. "Don't go any further!"

"'Be they a friend...siblings...or even my own child'."

"No, Madara!" Hagami's eyes widened as she saw Madara use Sasuke's own katana. It happened in slow motion, where there wasn't even enough time let one breath in and one out. It was a clean cut, but through several vital organs. Horror filled Hagami when she saw the blade go clean through Sasuke's body, exiting through his ribs on his backside.

"...warned you...that there wasn't much time left..." Hagami could faintly hear Madara as the scene repeated in her mind. Here she was, immobile and unable to do anything but watch as Sasuke suffered. The blade dripped blood onto the Gedo Statue, and it was Sasuke's not Madara's.

Hagami struggled further in the restraints. She knew that they had to give at some point. She stopped, however, when she heard Sasuke gasp for air and cough on the blood that was welling in his throat. It wasn't long after that Madara threw him off the blade, sending him soaring toward the ground and then following close behind.

Just as he leapt halfway down the Gedo Statue, she felt the control over her relinquish itself. And it definitely didn't take long for her to leap down after them. She saw Sasuke on the ground, his hands clawing at the ground as Madara stood over him.

"the fact that you possess such eyes proves they you've continued to seek something despite many great losses." Madara spoke as Hagami landed in front of Sasuke. "But it all ends here. You will lose your very self. It's what they call a true ending."

"Madara, now you've done it." Hagami's hair covered her eyes. "But now you're going to pay!" Anguish flooded Hagami's veins and another round of chakra seemed to flood her. She knew that she was exhausted and she knew that she was low on chakra, but she pressed forward recklessly.

Madara knew that Hagami was now relying on emotion. He could also sense that she had very little chakra and it was beyond her ability to keep up with him like she already had.

"You're of no match. I don't want to fight a pointless battle if I don't--"

Hagami didn't let him finish his sentence. She forced her body like she always did and forced it to move with the strength she wanted. Hagami's hand grasped the hilt of Sasuke's katana when she ran past and Madara suddenly leapt back.

I should've known that since we're apart of the same Clan that we're fueled by emotions. Madara muttered in his mind. I didn't plan on killing her, I may need her eye and the other Rinnegan is already on its way. I can't risk killing her yet. Madara narrowed his eye as Hagami fought him. Something clearly clouded her judgement since her strike in ways that wouldn't leave any mortal damage on him.

Hagami had a rhyme and rhythm to her way of fighting. She angled Sasuke's katana the way he did earlier, placing her hand on the butt of the hilt and then plunged it forward. Madara was kept on his toes because of Hagami's unpredictable fighting style in the beginning but now she used that anxiousness to her advantage.

She had landed a hit just below the collar bone, the blade running clean through Madara. His hands had stopped it on its way in, but it still left a deep wound.

"I didn't think you'd let your guard down like that." Hagami muttered, anger lacing her tone. "I also didn't think that I'd be close enough to be able to see the Rinnegan in its full glory. I knew that Rinnegan didn't belong to Obito, but who knew it belonged to you? That technique earlier, what was it?"

"Rinbo, Hengoku (Limbo)." Madara responded as he began to draw the blade from his shoulder. However, he stopped just as fast as he started as Hagami applied more force. His eyes narrowed slightly at her. "You're playing a dangerous game."

"So are you." Hagami responded darkly as she leapt back; she drew the katana with her, sending stinging pain through Madara. Madara's eyes widened when he felt a sharp pain shoot through his back. He stumbled forward, away from the kunai that had struck him and whipped his head around.

Hagami faintly smirked when she saw Itachi standing on the other side of Madara. Shisui was no where to be seen, but Hagami could sense his chakra somewhere else. Whether or not he'd be joining was debatable since he was tending to something else, judging by his chakra.
