Part I
Madara approached the Hokage at a startling speed, crashing into one of the upheaved planes of rubble not too far away.
"I've been waiting for you, Hashirama!" Madara boomed. He leaned forward, his eyes filling with excitement at the thought of fighting his old friend.
"I'll deal with you later!" Hashirama shot back, jabbing a finger at him. "I have to stop the Jūbi first!" A look of contempt and dismay took over Madara's face. However, a second later, he let out a short grunt and straightened his back.
He hasn't changed a bit. Madara thought with a slight smirk. Hashirama averted his vision from Madara, knowing he wouldn't make a move against them right now. The ground began to rubble too, with a frightening strength, and it seemed to grow as they turned to the source.
The Jūbi was charging at them, its mouth still agape and its tails thrashing in the air.
"Naruto, you've done well." Minato turned to look over his shoulder. "Take a little break. And, this is for you too Hagami, your friends will be here soon. They're allies."
Naruto kept silent as he contemplated whether or not Sasuke was now an ally whilst relief flooded Hagami. Her breathing returned to normal too and in the process, Minato's body became cloaked in the Kyūbi's chakra. Hagami's eyes widened slightly; more power radiated from Naruto, but Minato's wasn't far behind.
"Second, Third, stand in front of me." Minato instructed, having already composed a plan. "As well as you Hagami," he added as he placed one of his seals on both Tobirama and Hashirama.
"Hai." Hagami took a step closer to Minato and waited there.
"I know Lord Second placed a marker on you already, but I'm going to make sure that I keep close tabs on you too. I trust you more than he does, but caution always braves against the storm." Minato explained and he placed his hand against her back where he had put the other two markers on Tobirama and Hiruzen.
"Understandable." Hagami complied.
An instant later, Minato, Tobirama, and Hiruzen vanished whilst Hashirama remained where he was. He had already begun to weave hand seals for the upcoming jutsu as well.
Hagami's eye flared to life with the Sharingan.
"Ninpō, Shisekiyōjin (Ninja Art, Four Crimson Ray Formation)!" Hagami knew the Hokage were all in sync as they performed the barrier-style jutsu to enclose the Jūbi. True to its name, a barrier shaped like an endless rectangle shot up into the air, giving off a reddish glow. "And, I'll just add on," the markings that appeared on Hashirama's face signified he had entered Sage Mode, "Senpō, Myōjinmon (Sage Art, Gracious Deity Gates)!"
Hagami watched shocked and the ground shook again as ten seals shot down from the sky. It trapped each of the Jūbi's tails, immobilizing its rampage.
In the midst of the awe Hagami was in, she failed to notice a familiar chakra approaching them. It was only when he landed beside her, that Hagami noticed him.
"You sure took your time getting here, Sasuke." Naruto was the first to speak just as Hagami turned her head.
"Sasuke...kun." Sakura trailed off, shocked at the appearance of her lover. Sasuke looked to Hagami first, concern in his eyes that mirrored her own, and then to Sakura.
"Is that you, Sakura?" He asked in monotonous voice.
"Sasuke-kun, why?!" Sakura snapped at him with her eyes wider than they were already.
Hagami hissed quietly at Sasuke, a glare replacing concern momentarily. Her gaze read "Why such a big entrance? You knew this was going to happen.", though to her dismay, Sasuke brushed her off.
"Where is Shisui and Nīsan?" Sasuke asked as the rest of Konoha 11 raced over.
"I thought you'd know." Hagami muttered. She took one last survey through the shinobi that were in her range. "But now that you're here, you assist them. I'm going."
Sasuke suppressed the urge to scold her, or at least tell her to be careful as she darted away.
Hagami crossed the rubble with grace. She had picked up faintly on Shisui's chakra but judging from it, he was a distance away.
What the h*** are they planning?! Hagami thought as she leapt up. In the distance, she could see the two of their heads, or at least the backs of their heads but they're standing stagnant. Other Uchiha also crowded around, but right away Hagami knew something was extremely wrong.
"Itachi! Shisui!" Hagami shouted when she leapt down. Shisui whipped around too fast for his liking and he gasped when he saw Hagami. "What happened?"
"Hagami..." Shisui broke away, his eyes were distant and glassy. "Lord Fugaku...died." His hands braced her shoulders so she wouldn't be able to run past him. A small gasp passed her lips when she saw Fugaku's feet, pale.
There was a small silence between them, and an emptiness filled Hagami. It felt like she had lost her family again, or at least a fragment of it. Darkness swept briefly over her. Fugaku was her second father, the one who took her in when she was at her weakest.
"Hagami, I'm sorry." Shisui's voice brought her back and she had noticed Itachi had also walked over. "We just arrived on the battlefield too, and were about to head over..."
"Now's not the time to be concerned with matters like this," Itachi spoke up and Hagami snapped her head to the side. She knew Itachi had been affected by this to some degree, hence there was a slight tint of pink to his eyes. "We'll finish the war first, and then prepare ourselves for the losses we've endured."
Shisui's hands released Hagami's shoulders and she drew in a sharp breath.
"Then what are we waiting for, let's head to the heart of the war." Hagami turned around without showing either of them her eyes. Without warning, she took off.
