I awoke to the sounds of little birds chirping with sunshine beaming through the window. I looked and saw Ethan sound asleep. He looked like a cute little angel, so peaceful. His eyes gradually started to flutter open and he smiled at me. We just laid there together taking in the moment.
"Good morning," I said to Ethan.
"Morning beautiful," he replied yawning and stretching to wake up.
"What's our first adventure of this vacation?" I asked him curiously.
"We are going to this painting workshop downtown and then we get to walk around for a little bit. It's a very relaxed day." Ethan told me.
I smiled and got myself out of bed. We both got ready and grabbed our things. Out the door we went, to take on our first adventure. This beautiful country was so much more pretty and breathtaking in person. The pictures don't do it justice what so ever. Hand in hand, E and I walked out to the bus that we were taking to the painting class.
The place where the painting class took place was so fascinating. We followed our tour guide and he led us back to where we needed to go. The architecture was so cool, very unique. I loved everything about it.
"Hola!" The painting teacher greeted us.
He was an older guy, but he seemed so happy. I loved it. One thing I noticed about this country is that everyone is so outgoing. I adore that. It makes a fun environment to be in. Not to mention the native people welcome tourists and take us in like we are part of the country. I could live here.
The class took about an hour and I learned a lot about the past traditions of painting an ox cart wheel. They could either be simple or something extravagant. Ethan tried to do something complicated but messed up. I, on the other hand just did a simple color pattern. I've never had the art genes in the family that's for sure.
After the class was over Ethan and I got back onto the bus and they took us downtown. La Fortuna, in English this has something to do with luck. It was such a cool little town. We walked around going into little souvenir shops and finding cute little gifts for everyone back in the United States. Ethan and I got matching key chains and I got Audrey a bag of chocolates. Ethan got Grayson a little journal. I decided to buy Cameron some fresh coffee too.
While walking downtown we found this little buffet to sit down and eat at. For me on this trip I wanted to try new food. I got a plate that had chicken, rice with vegetables and a bread roll. I also had strawberry banana juice. There was some type of sauce on the chicken, I'm not exactly sure what it was but it was delicious.
Three hours later of walking around the little town exploring and we got back on the bus to head back to the hotel. I was exhausted. I could tell Ethan was too. Once the bus got back to the hotel everyone got off and headed back to their rooms.
"Nap time?" Ethan questioned.
"Ugh, yes. I had so much fun, but I am exhausted." I told him.
Ethan and I crawled into bed and snuggled. We woke up a couple hours later to realize it was dinner time. Both tired and exhausted, we didn't dress fancy, just went in our clothes we wore that day.
Not wanting to travel far we ended up going to the Denny's right next to our hotel. I ordered a pancake with bacon, hash browns and a cup of fresh coffee. Let me tell you, fresh coffee makes a huge difference.
"So, how are you liking it so far?" Ethan asked taking a sip of his coffee.
"I am in love with this country E," I told him with a huge smile. "I can't even tell you how grateful I am that you took me here."
"Anything for you, you have no idea how much you've helped me the past few months. This is the least I could do." Ethan replied.
Then the waiter came with our food. I know it was nothing special but here is something about pancakes for dinner. Ethan and I finished our food and headed back to the hotel for the night.
"Wanna go in the hot tub to relax?" Ethan asked me. "I think it's outdoor!"
"Sure! Let's go!" I said.
Eteeweetee and I changed into our swimsuits and headed toward the hot tub. We got in and just enjoyed the view and most of all, each other's company. The Costa Rican sky was so aesthetically pleasing at night. Ethan, with his arm around me sat there with me except he wasn't staring at the sky. He was staring at me. That boy is something else.
"Can I help you with something?" I asked looking over at him.
"Yeah," he replied, "tell me why or how you're so beautiful inside and out."
In the moment all I could do is blush. That's when it happened. The one single moment I have been waiting for the past couple months. Ethan leaned in, along with me and after months of waiting our lips connected. It was like fireworks going off, butterflies and sparks everywhere. The kiss was completely magical.
"So, is this the part where you ask me to be your girlfriend?" I asked him, "I am starting to get a little impatient, your fans are too. I keep getting dm's asking if we are official yet."
"I guess you will both have to be patient then," Ethan replied. "Just be patient, I have had this planned for a couple weeks."
I just smiled and gave him a peck on the cheek.
"Let's go back to our room, I am getting tire and we have a full day tomorrow." Ethan said getting up out of the hot tub.
I followed him, and we went back to our room and changed into our pajamas. It didn't take us long and we drifted off into a deep sleep. I was so lucky so have Ethan.
