I slowly became conscious again. I looked around with squinted eyes to see cop cars and ambulances coming to the scene. I looked in the driver's seat and Ethan wasn't there. I instantly started to panic. I looked around because I couldn't get up, I was stuck. That's when I saw Ethan, he had been ejected from the car. Laying on the road, blood streaming down his face. I started hyperventilating, panicking, thinking the worst. Did I just permanently lose the love of my life? My soul mate.

"Miss! Are you okay?" The police man asked walking over to me.

I couldn't speak, I just stared at Ethan, my breathing was uneasy, I was numb. Not from the accident, from looking at Ethan.

            "Miss!" The officer yelled.

            "Is he okay?" I cried.

"I can tell you he still has a pulse, he will be fine. Are you fine?" He questioned.

            "I don't know," I said zoning out.

Two other police men came over to the totaled car and helped me out. I tried walking but I was in pain, lots of pain. My heart was in the most pain. I just want to hug Ethan, I want him to be awake. The EMT's put me on a stretcher and had me lay down as they put me in the back of one ambulance and Ethan in the other. I was trying to stay awake but I reached a point where I couldn't. I became so weak, so fast. I shut my eyes and everything went black again.

Beep, beep, beep. I woke up in a hospital bed. My right foot was in a big boot. The doctor walked into my room.

"It's so nice to see you awake," he greeted me.

"Ethan Dolan, is he okay?" I blurted out without even thinking.

"Relation to him?" The doctor questioned.

            "Girlfriend," I answered.

"He is in a coma, Ethan will wake up. We don't know when. It could be weeks, months, days, he could wake up any second. We just can't predict." The doctor informed me. "I am going to send family in, they're all waiting to see you."

I started sobbing uncontrollably. Ethan. I need to do what he did to me. I wonder if talking to him will help? Just like what he did to me. I pressed the button on my remote for the doctor. He soon came walking back in looking at me.

            "What is it?" He asked.

"When I was in a coma, Ethan was told to talk to me and it would help me wake up. It did. Will that help Ethan too?" I asked trying to calm myself down.

"It will," the doctor nodded his head. "After your family visits I will let you go in there."

"Thank you so much," I thanked the doctor and he sent my family in.

Instead of my family walking in, the officer that helped me did.

"How are you feeling Taylor?" One of them asked.

"I could be better and the love of my life is in a coma," I replied. "What happened?"

"You were hit by a drunk driver," one of the other officers answered. "He was a male your age."

            "Can I get a name??" I asked.

"I will tell you but no telling anyone." One officer answered me.
