EUNICE

Kakatapos ko lang magshower at pahiga na sana ako sa kama nang marining kong bumukas ang pinto sa katabing kwarto ko. I looked at the watch and its says it's already pass midnight. Imposible namang lumabas ang kung sino mang yun para magCR dahil may CR naman sa kwarto nila. I decided to check who the hell he is.

I saw Jarvis, walking towards the door and I followed him. I saw him sat at one of the chairs in front of my house. I decided to sit beside him. He was surprised when he saw me and looked away. I wanted to talk to him. I guess he needs someone who can comfort him?

"Hey, can't sleep?" I asked him. He's still looking at the beach, thinking deeply. He didn't answer.

"I can be your friend just this once Jarvis. I'll try to climb the walls you've made in order to know what you feel right now." I said while smiling at him. I tried to look sincere and convincingly as I can.

"I miss my parents." He whispered that I could almost not hear it.

"And your parents miss you too. I know you've been through a lot. It's not yet too late Jarvis." I told him. Still giving him my understanding smile.

"My parents miss me? Are kidding? That's impossible. They only miss their business and not me." He sarcastically said.

"They miss the old you." He froze for a minute.

"Old me?"

"Yes. The old Jarvis they knew who doesn't cause troubles and knows how to make someone smile not cry."

"I've been like this because of them."

"That's true. But you don't need to continue being like that because of them. Stop ruining your life it'll cause you no good."

"I just.... I just want them to notice me. To notice that they still have a son who needs them." He said while sadness and pain are visible in his eyes.

"I understand. Pero naging maganda ba ang kinalabasan ng mga ginawa mo?"

"No."

"See? You've caused so much trouble and made mistakes. Wag mo nang dagdagan pa ang mga iyon. Tama na 'yon para magising ka sa katotohanan."

"Why? Why are you doing this for us?"

"Just like what I've said, to wake you up from your bad dream. And it's effective don't you think? You came to realize something."

"It's not. And I don't realize anything." Pagdedeny nya

"Oh really? Then why are you here talking to me about how much you miss your parents?"

"That's, I.... I don't know."

"Do you know how much it hurts when the one you love made something so wrong and hurtful? Alam mo ba kung gaano kasakit sa mga magulang mo na makitang nagkakaganyan ka? You should have seen how your mother cried when she saw you a while ago." Shocked was written all over his face.

"She, she cried?"

"Yeah."

"She saw me? How? Why? When?"

"Nung sinesermunan ko kayo, your parents were watching. Hindi lang naman kayo ang sinermunan ko, maging ang mga magulang nyo."

"You're really impossible." Naiiling nyang sabi.

"I just hope na maging sila ay magising na din katulad nyo."

"Thank you." That shocked me. I froze for a moment. Absorbing what Jarvis has said a few minutes ago.
