I woke up on the couch when bright light hit my face. I shielded my eyes from the light and moved away. One glance at the surroundings proved that I wasn't dreaming and everything was true. I sighed. Why would I expect it to be a dream when I know it's reality? Maybe my mind was just too stubborn to accept the changes and wanted to fight them.

I got a full view of the place from my position. The mansion was larger than what I had expected. I went to find the room I was in the day before. On my way, I found a mirror and caught my reflection. I started at my image looking into the black eyes and crunchy dark brown hair. It looked like me but it wasn't.

I wiped a tear that rolled down my cheek and opened my mouth. All teeth were normal. My canines are about their usual size. I tilted my head in confusion. I clearly remembered my teeth being long enough to poke my lower lips. How did they shrink?

I thought about the previous night's events and the blood. Just the thought of blood elongated my canines. I was shocked to see my reflection with canines. It was all new to me. My mind wandered and the canines slowly returned to their usual size.

I went to the bedroom and pushed the door open. It took me a lot of strength to open the door before and just a small push did the job now. How is that possible?

The tiny opening from the curtains just let enough light into the room to show the room clearly. It wasn't as big as I thought it was. There were only three doors attached to the room excluding the exit. I guess I stumbled across all of them.

I went to grab another shower. My body felt good to be clean but my clothes were dirty. I went into the closet. Who keeps an empty closet? It atleast had to have some clothes! I wandered over staring at the empty shelves.

There was something on the floor that caught my eye. It looked like a small metal ball. I pulled it and there was an opening. It was a trap door.... Or a secret shelf? There wasn't much in it. I could find a pair of jeans, a few t-shirts and a hoodie. They seemed just as dirty as my clothes but what other choice I got?

I changed into one of the t-shirts and went downstairs. I didn't know where I was or how I could get back home. All I knew was I need to use as much day light as possible to get out of the forest. I went to the kitchen and filled two bottles with water and headed towards the door. I wasn't surprised to see the door open with a small push.

It was too bright outside. I shielded my eyes from the sunlight and began walking towards the gate. I barely reached the gate when my skin started burning. What's going on? My skin turned red and my eyes were stinging. I ran back indoors and shut the door. Within a minute or two, the burning sensation stopped and my skin turned normal.

I went to a window and opened a curtain making sure that the light didn't touch me. I let some light fall on the back of my palm and let it stay there for a while. I felt nothing in the first few seconds. After two more seconds, pain started and it was tolerable. Three seconds later the pain was too much to bear and my hard turned a rather impressive shade of red which I was not looking forward to.

Guess who is under house arrest?

Since I couldn't get out into the light, I decided to make the creepy place a little less creepy. I started with the kitchen and went to bedroom. There wasn't much I wanted to do. Just a little dusting and removal of spider webs was all I did.

I wasn't used to cleaning the rooms and definitely not used to cleaning huge, gigantic rooms. I was surprised to see that I wasn't tired when I was done. I passed time till the sun set. I went outside as the burning sensation in my throat made a reappearance.

There wasn't any injured rabbit to greet me though. I went into the forest and it took me a few seconds to realise that my night vision is eztremt good. I shouldn't even be able to see my feet, let alone meters ahead of me.

It took me a while but I finally managed to catch and bunny off gaurd and hold it in my hands. The moment I sniffled it's scent, my canines grew and before I knew it, my teeth were sunk into its skin and I was enjoying it's blood.

I drained every drop of blood in its body. Tasting raw meat still seemed gross. Atleast I was glad for that. I took the rabbit back inside and set it in the kitchen. What kind of kitchen doesn't have a stove? I went outside to collect some wood and I was glad for matches in the kitchen.

I roasted the rabbit meat on fire and set it aside for it to cool. I took a bite when I was sure that it wouldn't burn my mouth. It tasted normal. Atleast my sense of taste didn't change much. I ate some of it and left the remaining meat there because I was full.

I went upstairs and headed to bed. I tossed and turned but I wasn't able to sleep. After the cleaning, chasing rabbits and collecting wood I was pretty sure I would collapse but I didn't. After what seemed like hours of trying, I finally gave up.

Wait....I didn't try to get away because the sunlight burned me. There was no reason to stay since nothing was out to burn me. I quickly went outside and started running in the forest. Woah...my speed....I would look like a blur to anyone. Luckily I was alone in the forest. Unless you consider animals and birds.

I ran till I found a small town at the end of the forest. I decided to check it out and also find a way back home.
