"Haters gon' hate, players gon' play."

Today during my biology class, we were doing our presentations on our assigned animals. We had to explain an interesting and unique behavior that the animal possessed. I was assigned the koala.

"Mina! You're up next." Mrs. Tan called out.

My eyes wandered over to where Mina sat as she got up from her desk, purposely fixing her mini skirt. You could literally see a cheek hanging out. Yet the school principal goes crazy over ripped jeans.

When she got to the front of the classroom, she did a swift 180 degree turn to face everyone.

"As you all know, I'm Mina Vo. For my presentation, I'll be talking about the topi antelope." She presented her slideshow onto the smartboard, holding the clicker in her hand.

"These beautiful creatures live in the savannas of Africa and can live up to 15 years." On the board, there was a picture of the creature before she clicked onto the next slide.

"Topi antelopes are very distinct from other species of animals. Unlike others, in which the male usually competes for the female during mating season, the females are the ones who are usually competitive. The females compete at higher rates due to their preferences."

Perhaps it was the fact that I was still tired from waking up so early in the morning or maybe it was just my mind playing tricks on me but I could've sworn that as Mina spoke, she was staring right at me.

"Because of this, harassment levels are extremely high on the female side. Some actually disrupt matings that are already in progress." I heard her apply emphasis onto the word 'disrupt'.

For the rest of her presentation, I wasn't able to fully focus. I kept being irrational about Mina's looks towards me.

"You're awfully quiet." Amy nudged me as I sat on the bleachers on the football field.

"I think Mina has a problem with me." I kept my focus onto the grassy area, watching some of the boys from the football team do laps.

"That tramp has a problem with everyone. Even with her two so-called friends, Nicole and Chels."

"That's not the point, Amy. She's never looked at me the way she did when she presented in biology class today. It's sort of like she was trying to....." I paused midway my sentence to think. "Trying to drop a hint."

"A hint for what?"

"That's exactly the thing. I'm not sure."

"Well, I wouldn't take it too seriously. She's given me a few glares here and there as well. Just ignore it. I'm sure it's nothing."

"Yeah, I guess."

Bzzz. I felt a vibration in my sweater pocket and reached into it to pull out my phone.

Jungkook had messaged me.
