For my readers,
It has come to my decision that I will not be continuing 'Promise'.
My decision for this was based on the fact that 1. I don't feel as passionate about it and I feel that if I want to write a book, I want to actually be entwined in it. Otherwise, I'll have no motivation. 2. I began to write 'Promise' without having any actual clearance on what it would be about. I wanted it to be a romance but as I started writing and more chapters were published, I didn't exactly see a true purpose anymore. I would question myself a lot, saying "where is this book even going?". It was my own self to blame for not making an actual outline. It's my first time writing a book so this was experience and it will definitely help me to look back on this when I write more books in the future. 3. I am writing a new book which I'm beyond excited for and I think you guys will end up being more fond of this one as well. I'm trying to be more organized towards this piece and are currently making an outline of it. I will publish the first chapter this coming winter most likely. I will be more prepared and consistent with it or at least I'm hoping to. 4. I didn't feel as if I were happy with the way I developed my characters. As a writer, I've learned that it's not only important to connect with the book but with your characters. They are the main piece after all. With the new book I'm working on, I'm very happy with the way I developed my characters. I even feel as if I've built a relationship with them. They're still a wip but they'll be done soon enough. 5. I'm a freshman in college, so my free time has majorly decreased. I don't have a lot of time in my day and it's hard to find moments when I can just sit down and write. I prefer to focus on my education so writing won't be a top priority anymore.
I will still keep the book up because I am proud of what I've written. Besides, I don't see why I would get rid of it. It'll be like a memory for me and my readers to see, haha. I also want to keep it there so I can go and look back at it for any references.
I do deeply apologize for not continuing the book but I'm hoping you all understand my reasons.
