"Even in the far future, never forget the you of right now."

•••

The same brown orbs that looked at me when I had tears in my eye as I said: "I think we need a break." I remember the day as if it were yesterday.

The same brown orbs that looked at me when I was being touched around my womanhood but not close enough to actually come in contact with it.

The same brown orbs that looked at me when he made a promise to never leave.

The same brown orbs that had looked at Hope in order to draw her.

The same brown orbs that were wide open in shock the first day I made contact with them.

The same brown orbs that happened to be looking straight at me in the very moment.

"Y/N?" He questioned.

My words were trapped in my throat, unable to come out. I was praying internally that he hadn't heard me.

"Did you-" He paused. "Did you mean everything you said?"

Shit.

Silence. Nothing but silence washed over us.

Y/N, tell him you mean it.

I was having an internal feud with myself.

"I-" I nibbled on my lip with nervousness.

Come on, Y/N! Why can't you say it?! It's just three words.

Time was ticking and it was obvious that my lack of an answer was the reason a slight frown appeared on his face.

"That's okay. I'm just happy you ca-"

"I meant it!" I quickly cut him off, forcing the last bit of confidence I had up my throat.

"And I always will mean it. Every single word. Even the 'I love you' part." I hung my head, allowing my hair to fall over my face, using it as a barrier to hide me from the situation, awaiting his response.

I heard some shuffling on the bed but didn't move my gaze.

"Lay with me."

I looked up to see that Jungkook had scooted his entire body over to the side, creating a space which I assumed he made for me.

"Please."

How could he be acting as if we hadn't just ignored each other for a whole week?

Nevertheless, I nodded hesitantly, getting up and slowly fixating myself onto the hospital bed, resting my whole body down onto the soft surface. I faced him, although I so badly wanted to be facing the other way.

He brought his hand to my face and I almost flinched when I felt him cup my cheek, wiping my damp tears with his thumb.

"I missed you." He smiled but it wasn't big enough to show sincere happiness.

"Do I make you that sad?" He questioned with serious eyes.
