"I wanna stop, I don't want you anymore."

It was my second day in Busan. Jungkook said he had to go do some things for his parents in town, so I stayed at his house. His parents were more than happy to keep me there.

I sat in their backyard, on a small patio bench. There was a small water fountain which was centered in the middle which attracted small birds from time to time to bathe in. I closed my eyes, taking in the sounds of the leaves on the trees rustling as the wind blew. I listened to the birds and how some of them had similar chirps. I remember being a small girl and wondering what they could possibly be saying to each other. At the moment, I felt at peace. Even if I hated the heat, I let the sun's rays shine onto my face, making my cheeks feel warm. I knew my unwinding time wouldn't last long and that I'd have to dig my nose into a book again sooner or later.

I felt a couple vibrations in my jean pocket and pulled it out, surprised to see that I received some messages from none other than Taehyung.

Jungkook's POV:

"One kkwabaegi?"

"Ne." I nodded at the woman who started grabbing the twisted looking donut from the glass display.

My mother was a big fan of kkwabaegi and when she asked if I could stop by and grab her one at her favorite bakery, of course, I said yes. After paying and grabbing the small pastry bag, I went to head out so that I could continue my other errands.

"Jungkook?"

I stopped dead in my tracks on my way to the door.

I know that voice. It was one that I never thought I'd hear again. One that I thought I had escaped for good. I turned around towards the well-known voice.

"Hope?" My own voice barely came out as a whisper.

"Wau! Jungkook, it really is you!" She came closer, causing me to back up a bit as a dog would if it felt threatened.

"Well," She laughed. "I'm sorry I'm that ugly for you to be scared of me. Not everyone gets lucky through puberty. It seems you were one of the lucky few." Her eyes wandered up and down my figure. I swear it felt like she was undressing me in her mind.

I shook my head slowly. "I wasn't stepping back because of that." I blinked a couple of times, wondering and hoping that my eyes were possibly deceiving me and that none of this was happening and that she really wasn't there. "Why are you here? In Busan?"

"Oh, my boyfriend and I are here to sightsee. Guess he beat you to it." A giggle came out of her mouth.

"Boyfriend?"

"Yeah," She looked down. "Not the old one that I chea-," She paused after seeing my emotionless face. "Yeah, you know." She flipped her hair to the side.

I gave her a simple nod.

"What brings you here though?" She pointed at the pastry bag that was hanging on my wrist, causing me to look down at it. "Are you bringing some treats for your girlfriend, possibly?"

"Uh, it's actually for my mom."

"Oh, how is she?"

"She's doing fine."

She rolled her lips inwards for a bit and then smiled innocently at me. "I hope you're not still mad at me."

"No. I got over it a long time ago."

"That's good. I've reflected on my choices to improve on how I act towards others. I've changed a lot for the better since then. I guess I just want to say I'm sorry."

I looked up at her. She looked the same as I remembered. Freckles around her nose which I used to place soft kisses on, her curly hair which my hands used to run through, her dark eyes which I would get lost in. I didn't want these memories to come flooding back but they did.

"Thanks, I guess."

She sighed. "Jungkook, look-"

"Who's this, Hope?"

I turned to look at the male figure who was now approaching us both.

He seemed as shocked as I was when we both locked eyes with each other.

"Wait," He chuckled. "I know you."

"You're 'Mr. Tough' guy from the amusement park."

A/N :

Short chapter for today because the previous chapter was quite long. Also, I felt like I ended it at a decent spot and didn't really want to add anything more until the next chapter is published.

Also, I'm still shaking from BTS's performance last night at the BBMA's. THE CROWD WENT CRAZY. I love myself a dedicated fandom.
