*Picture of Jeremy's parents*

My parents have been forcing me to stay home for the past 4 days. They say it's to protect me but I can see the words 'House Arrest' jumping all over their sorry faces.

Hannah calls me downstairs. And I see that in the dining room are my parents. Hannah is sitting at one end of the table and Christian at the other. I remain standing.

"Jeremy, have a seat. We have something very important to talk to you about," Hannah's expression was too serious for her own good. I raise an eyebrow.

"Your mother and I have been noticing you getting back into your bad habits. We're not always going to be there to bail you out when you get caught. It's happened twice before and we..."

"Get to the point." I can't stand having to listen to Christian's never ending lectures.

Hannah stands up and slaps the table. I know it hurt her and that makes me smirk a little. "Is that any way to speak to your father?! This is the behavior we're talking about!"

"Hannah," I chuckle very obviously, "do you need some ice for that? I think you need to cool down a bit."

"You are to address her as mother or mom. We've been over this Jeremy," Christian says angrily.

"I want you both to realize that YOU called ME down here. There would be no yelling if I stayed peacefully in my dungeon. Oh I'm sorry, I meant my room." I have never been so ready to start something in my entire life.

Hannah looks over to Christian and he sees the frustration and concern in her eyes. Then she sits down and places the hand she had hurt while trying to make a point in between her thighs and looks down shamefully.

"You want me to get to the point son? Okay then. You're going to a military university." Christian shows no signs of joking.

I shake my head firmly. "Nope. Not happening."

Hanna gets up and pushes her chair out so vigorously that it falls over and one of the legs crack off a piece. She paces around for a minute and then turns to face me.

"Jeremy Torres Thorne. You don't even know what university it is. Every other child we know, would kill to get into college. People are suffering and you have a one way ticket, free of charge, to turn your life around here you are, denying the opportunity, before you even know what's gonna happen?" She stomps her foot on the ground and the floor shakes a little. "This is just a situation where you don't have a choice. Your moving to Texas in two days. Start packing. If you don't, I guess you'll be leaving without anything." Then she angrily leaves the room. I can practically see the steam coming out of her ears.

I laugh and noticed Christian staring at me emotionless. "No one is joking son. I hope you make the right choice." Then, he gets up and goes after Hannah. Before he exits the room, he utters, "Not that you really have one."

I can't believe what had just happened. I may seem all rude and emotionless on the outside, but on the inside, I really do care about the things that go on. But like I said, I need to get out of my current situations before I start anything serious.

There is no way in hell I'm leaving in two days to go to some over protective prison. So I go to my room and start packing. If I was going to end up leaving, it would be on my own terms.

Then, her face crosses my mind and her scent follows it. I can feel her presence. It was like she was here in my room with me.

I'm not really one for signs and hints but something was telling me that she had something I would need. Something important. Call it intuition or whatever, but the decision I'm making is definitely the right one.
