We soon reach the top of the cliff. Based on the expression on Solane's face, she's very excited. I originally planned to jump after her but she takes my hand in hers and walks over to the edge of the cliff. She looks at me and her eyes say, "Ready for this?"

We jump in sync. Our hands are still connected. The wind comes at us with full force. Our screams are so loud, the fish under the ocean probably hear them.

Then, we hit the water.

Solie's hand lets go of mine. I look to my left and to my right. All the bubbles around me make it impossible to find her. So I swim to the surface. It should've been so easy to find her, but it's not. Either she's still underwater, or she already swam out, and what are the chances of that.

"Solie! Solane can you hear me?!" I'm totally freaking out. Why? Probably because she makes every freaking hair on my body stand on edge and even though that feeling is annoying, it's such a thrill. Or maybe because if she dies, her death would be pinned on me. Or maybe, just maybe, I see her as more than someone I just kidnapped.

Then, I see her. She finally came up over the water coughing, more like choking. I swim over to her as quickly as I can. When I reach her, I hold her in my arms and try to keep her face above the water. She continues to cough. I pull her to the edge of the water. Here she is, laying in my arms, trying to stay alive. Her coughs sound very painful.

"Solie, you gotta be okay for me...." My sentence trails off. I can see it. My feelings trying to come out of hiding. Out of nowhere, Solane moves her body closer to mine and gently wraps her arms around me. It's so comforting. Holding her tight, she eventually calms down.

"Thanks. That could've ended badly" Solie tries to laugh but it comes out sounding raspy and like she lost her voice.

"Let"s get back to the car," I whisper in her ear. I begin to get up from the sand but Solane pulls me back down to sit with her while making herself even more comfortable. That's the last thing I remember before we both fall asleep on the warm sand, near the edge of the freezing cold water.
