Graduation is today! I'm a bit nervous for it though because ever since I came back home, I haven't had time to go get in contact with the school about my academic status.

It's nine in the morning. Melissa allowed all of us to stay at her parents beach house for as long as we needed, but it's only because her parents don't even know.

Melissa, Stella, Sharon, and I all sleep in the same room. They guys sleep in the room next to us. Sharon woke up early so we decide to catch up.

"So... tell me about our mom?", I hesitate to ask.

"Umm. Well, our mom... she hasn't been really well ever since our dad died. She became very selfish and needy. She didn't even really care about where I was or what happened to me. She drinks a lot. And honestly, they only reason she still has a house is because she owns it. I've had better moments with her..."

"How did our dad die?"

"I actually never knew. Mom wouldn't talk about him to me."

I look away from Sharon and fold my arms over my chest while still laying down. She gets out of her bed and walks over to mine to sit beside me. "Our dad, he was amazing. He use to read to us. Take us out. He even secretly made us sugary snacks in the middle of the night even after mom told us no." She laughs in remembrance. "We'd hide behind the couch and and laugh about all the stupid things we had done that day while nibbling away at out chocolate bars or gulping down our ice cream cones. You were still so young. You could barely speak full sentences, and yet, we always knew what you were saying."

I look back up at Sharon who has a peaceful look on her face. It's like she's telling me "I'm here for you" without actually saying it. "I never stopped thinking about you, Solie. You were always on my mind." She takes a deep breath. "Everyone tried to convince me that you were dead. But, I just couldn't believe it. I refused. I always knew you were still out there. Call it a sister's intuition."

I sit up beside her. "Pretty sure it's called a mother's intuition." We both laugh and get caught in a hug. I like the feeling of having a sister. Knowing that I'll always have someone to look after me. Someone to understand my generation and relate to me and my feelings.
We talk for hours. I tell her all about me and my life. I mention Mama Dee and the necklace she gave me. I talk about my job at her store and how I grew up with her. I even add the story about my first childhood boyfriend.
She tells me all about her and her college experience. She doesn't have many friends, but she's still content with her life. She touches more upon our parents and explains to me exactly how it went down the day she lost me.

Soon enough, it's noon and everyone else wakes up. We all meet in the kitchen for breakfast. There are blueberry pancakes, waffles, sunny side up, bagels with cream cheese, and so much more. One would have confused it as a hotel breakfast.

"So I don't mean to be a pain in the ass but like, I don't even know some of your names. And I'm pretty sure Sharon doesn't either so... introductions?" I presume. The girls and I are all dressed cozy. I'm wearing one of Jeremy's T-shirts. It's grey and has a list of random names on the back, maybe the cast of a play or something. My feet are warmed up by the excessively fuzzy socks I wear. Sharon is wearing Melissa's hot pink unicorn onesie. Her hair is let loose on the sides of her face with only two strands sticking out in the front because they're too short to stay aligned with the rest of the bunch. She looks cute. Stella and Melissa wear solid colored tank tops with these little shorts covered in flowers or black and white patterns.

One of the guys stuffs a whole blueberry pancake in his mouth as he speaks. "I'm Nickson."

Jeremy walks over to me as my mouth drops in shock from the messy way Nickson was ate. He corners me at a wall and begins to kiss me. It's comforting.

"Get a room!", Nickson yells to us and cackles. Jeremy stops kissing me and whispers in my ear, "You're all mine after graduation." I place one hand on his cheek and stare right back in to his eyes. "I'm already all yours, silly."

Then I push past him and focus back on the others. "So what are your names?" I say to the other two guys. They both finish the food in their mouths before speaking.

"I'm Neal. And that's Faine."

I cheese. "Okay great. Now that that's out of the way," I turn to face the girls. "Girls, we're so screwed. We have nothing to wear tonight!"
Melissa and Stella practically break their necks trying to face me. They shoot up from their seats and push by me upstairs. "SOLIE! SHARON! GET YOUR ASSES UP HERE RIGHT NOW! WE'RE GOING SHOPPING!"
Sharon and I look at each other, shrug, and begin cracking up. Before going upstairs, I speak to the guys.

"Stella and Melissa are very persistent, especially Melissa. I hope you guys don't plan to stay here all day. They are going to drag you guys by your shoes into the car. Just a heads up."

They all cackle loudly as if I'm joking.

"Okay, just know I warned you guys." With that, I rush upstairs to rummage through Melissa's extensive closet.
