I lay back in the bed. What more can I do? I'm stuck here. At least I feel much better. The doctors told me that I'm extremely lucky that I have not lost my memory or suffered from some other serious injury. The hit was not hard enough to do permanent damage. I was going to be discharged in less than 24 hours on some medication.
Then something happens. I hear her name. Some people are talking about Solie on the other side of my door. I quickly become more alert and I sit upright.
It's very faint, but I can here them saying, "Solane Royal.... Home.... Not kidnapped." Something clicks in my body and I rush to turn the TV on to the news channel.
"My name is Solane Royal. And I was not kidnapped. I simply took advantage of an opportunity I saw. You do not get to invade my privacy like this. Leave."
That's Solie speaking. She's... at home. Solie is here. I have never been more excited in my whole life.
Hope. Something I haven't had in a long time. It feels good to have some again.
