Solie is so beautiful when she's happy, that's a fact. I would never admit it to her though. She doesn't even know about my other criminal offenses. For now, I just want to live in the moment.

"Let's go here!" Solie takes my hand and drags me into one of the cheaper stores, but I stop her and slowly pull her to a more expensive one.

She looks me in the eyes very softly and I swear for a second, it feels like Ive known Solie for my whole life. All the emotions going through my body were messing up my brain. I'm doing things I'd never usually think to do . Then I remember, no feelings involved. So I pull away from her and cross my hands over my chest.

She seems hurt because her facial expression changes and she closes herself up before hurrying into the store.

"You don't have to follow me... just.. Wait at the dressing rooms," she says in a voice I had never heard her use before. She bites her bottom lip and turns away from me.

As I walk over to the dressing rooms, I notice that all the clothes are hung up neatly and arranged by color and clothing type.

The floors are polished to the point where I can practically see my reflection. When I reach the dressing rooms, a girl walks up to me. She isn't as visually appealing as Solie is.

"Anything I can help you with sir?" She twirls her hair around her finger and seems to be trying very hard to impress me. I raise an eyebrow. Solie taught me how to do that.

"No I'm doing just fine by myself," I respond with a straight face.

"Are you sure I can't help you loosen up a bit? We have an amazing section filled with designer pants. I can help you change if you need..."

I don't even want to hear how her sentence was going to end. "I suggest you stop trying to seduce me and get back to your job. Otherwise, you won't have it for much longer. I'll make sure of it." The girl is disgusted at my words and angrily stomps off. Then, Solie comes around the corner with a few clothes in her hands.

"She was really pretty. I honestly don't know why you turned her down." It's very hard to tell if she's joking or not when she says that.

Either way, I hate how she thought I would just go for any pretty girl who walked up to me. But then again, I guess I kind of put that impression in her head so it's not completely her fault.

Solie dumps all her clothes into my hands and only takes a few with her into a dressing room.

A few minutes later, she comes out in a washed out red dress that hugs her skin so tightly that I can see every one of her perfect curves.

She walks towards the floor mirror and examines herself. She seems sickened by what she sees. "Oh my gosh... this dress... i'm... it looks terrible." Then she disappointedly scurries back into her room.

Her body mesmerized me. The things going through my mind right now are not acceptable. Thank goodness Solie can't read minds. Although, in my opinion, I think she looked amazing. She could've fooled me for a model.

Four dresses, two jeans, and six shirts later, Solie and I find our way back to my car. She sits beside me in the passenger seat.

"Hey... thanks for the clothes. I appreciate it." Solie bites her lip in attempt to hide her obvious smile.

By now it's night. Solie had fallen asleep within the three hours we'd been driving. When she wakes up she places her hand on my shoulder.

"You haven't slept in two days. Who are you running from?" I can tell Solie only wants the truth, but I'm not entirely ready for that, so I keep quiet.

"How about we just .. stop. Just for the night. I don't want you to pass out or something. Close your eyes and sleep for a bit, okay?"

Why is she being so nice knowing what I did to her? Despite all that has happened, I decide to close my eyes for at least a few hours. I would never admit it but my head is pounding and I have a splitting headache.

The next day, when I wake up, I'm in the back seat and the car is not where I left it. I knew I shouldn't have slept. Solie tricked me so she could get away. I feel so stupid. Feelings always lead to bad endings. I blame myself for being mesmerized by her. Then Solie walks back into the car and sits at the driver's seat. She was licking vanilla ice cream.

"Finally you're awake. Damn, you sleep more than I do." Then she laughs and it passes through my whole body. I'm still confused about how she had the chance to get away but instead, she bought ice cream. She's a confusing book to read.
