Hey Guys, Summer Greetings! My exams start next week and my summer officially starts June 27...so far. Lucky to those who are already on theirs. Comment how great your summer (and this chapter) is. ~Enjoy.
I woke up in my room and the only thing I remember is kissing Ian on my front lawn last night. A smile played on my lips but then I frowned. I leave today to go back to Miami, to school, to Mr. Somerhalder.
My phone rings and I get up out of bed to answer it. I don't know the number but I answer it anyway.
"Hello?"
"Brianna," the person said sure of himself. They also rolled the 'r' and there is only one person whom I've met recently that did that.
"Gideon, what a surprise."
"Not only did you remember my name from last night but also my voice. Impressive."
I laughed, "How did you get my number?"
"I'm a very powerful man, Brianna."
Yeah and that's what I'm afraid of. "Well, I guess you called to make sure I was ok? I'm fine, thanks for calling. Bye now."
He chuckled, "Not so fast. How are you and Flyer boy?"
"He's not my boyfriend, it's complicated."
"Complicated enough for you to have coffee with me?"
"Gideon, I'm leaving today. I'm going home."
"Oh," he said as if it was a minor thing, "Can I at least keep your number?"
"You would anyways to the contrary."
He chuckled deep within his throat as if it was forced, "I'll see you around, Brianna."
The call ended.
I stared at my phone. He had said the same thing to me at the party and it had sounded like a threat and a promise but this time it sounded like a promise never to be broken.
I washed my face and walked downstairs. Everybody was downstairs drinking coffee, chatting and laughing away. Oddly when I came into view, it all stopped.
"Good morning to you all too, I'm loving the cold shoulder."
I looked around at everybody and when our eyes met we felt the pull causing his eyes to dilate. I looked away quickly and walked over to the fridge. Opening it I found some waffles and oj. I popped 2 in the toaster and threw out some oj in a glass.
"You know I have school tomorrow right?"
"We know," they all answered in unison which creeped me out.
"And that I have to leave today?"
"You three will have to go and we will miss you dearly Anna," my dad said hugging my shoulders and kissing my forehead.
He did the same thing to Cait and then shook Ian's hand. After, surprising me, put his arm around his shoulder and led him away from us.
Hopefully he isn't gonna give him one of those "treat my daughter right" speeches. That wouldn't be the best thing for us right now. I need to decide what's gonna happen when we go back home. If we continue to fool around it's just gonna continue to confuse and hurt me. Plus he can lose his job and I can get expelled. He's still my profesor.
I need to figure out if I want to continue like this. I need to just get through this semester till summer so I can decide if this is the path I want to choose.
"Darling, are you ok?'
"I'm ok, mom."
"I'm gonna miss you," she said tearing up.
"Oh, mom. Don't cry," I said hugging her.
"I'm just glad I got to spend this time with you. You and Ian-"
"I don't know, mom. I'm still confused I'm not sure what to do."
"Hush dear. You'll know soon and whatever happens just remember that wounds heal with time."
My mom and her wise words. I hug her once more while she kisses my cheek.

"You ready?" Cait asks me standing at my room door.
I take one more look around my old room and decide that it's time to grow up and growing up means letting go of some memories. I've decided and it leaves my heart broken.
Ian comes to tell us that the car is ready and offered to carry my bags down to it but I denied.
The car ride is fun and filled with energy. This is the last time I'm gonna ever enjoy myself like this with them and so I make the best of it. I look over at him as he and Cait sing Bang Bang. I study his more than familiar features. My chest aches and breathing suddenly seems like suicide. He looks over at me and smiles. It makes me weak but I smile back anyway. I love him so much but this is the right thing to do, I assure myself. My throat starts to hurt from holding back the tears but my eyes get teary and I look away as a tear rolls down my cheek.
I sing along with them because I know I probably won't get to do so ever again.
Play the video now: "I was five and he was six
We rode on horses made of sticks
He wore black and I wore white
He would always win the fight
Bang bang, he shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down
Seasons came and changed the time
When I grew up I called him mine
He would always laugh and say
Remember when we used to play
Bang bang, I shot you down
Bang bang, you hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, I used to shoot you down
Music played and people sang
Just for me the church bells rang
Now he's gone I don't know why
Until this day, sometimes I cry
He didn't even say goodbye
He didn't take the time to lie
Bang bang, he shot me down
Bang bang, I hit the ground
Bang bang, that awful sound
Bang bang, my baby shot me down."
Sad chapter, I know. Comment.
No the story isn't finished.
