Bughead : Lost in love

Chpt 14 : Walking Jughead's POV

It has been two weeks since my birthday and something with Betty was obviously different. She has been looking more sad and is getting really clingy. I don't mind her being all clingy, but something is different and I could notice something was off with her. I sent her a text to meet me on the corner of her street and asked her to walk her to school.

I saw a blonde pony tail come out of one of the houses and I smiled. Betty was staring down to the ground but God she looked so beautiful. "Hey Betty, what's going on why is your head down?" I asked her in a sympathetic tone. I put my arm around her and started rubbing her back. "I don't know. I just haven't been feeling good lately." She mumbled.

There as obviously something going on. "Betty, I can tell something is different with you. Do you wanna talk about it?" I questioned. I just wanted her to know I noticed her and that I was there for her. I also wanted to make sure she wasn't doing anything bad. "I'm ok jughead. Everything is normal. Nothing is different." She said. "Betty... I can tell something is different I just don't want you to be in pain. And I don't want you hurting yourself." I told her. I just really wanted her to know that I was concerned for her well being and that I was there to support her.

She kind of hesitated to answer which worried me. Maybe she was hurting herself. I held onto her hand tightly, putting aside any worry I had. I love her so much and I could not even imagine her pain. Betty finally responded by saying "I mean, I guess things have been getting worse but I'm ok. You're really helping me out Jughead. I love you" she just said she was hurting herself. And worse than things were before. I put that though aside for later and managed to respond by saying "I love you too Betty." I pulled her into long, passionate kiss. I felt so bad for Betty for all her pain she was facing.
