Bughead : Lost in love

Chpt 36 : Mornings Jughead's POV

I woke up to Betty's head close to mine. At first I wondered what she was doing in my bed but I then remembered that she moved in to live with me after her break down yesterday. I got out of bed and hopped into the shower. I turned the water on and got in.

Out of nowhere I heard the door open. Immediately I thought it was my drunk dad coming in but I remembered Betty was here. Also my dad was out of town with the serpents doing god knows what. "Oh my god sorry juggie I didn't mean to ambush you, I just woke up and needed to go to the bathroom." She said staring at me, "I'll just wait." I smirked as I looked at Betty's blushed face. "It fine just go. You're pregnant anyways. I won't look." I said as I covered my eyes. "Fine." She said. "You can also come join me in the shower." I said as I put shampoo in my hair. Betty just looked at me and laughed. "It's ok juggie. I'll go make breakfast and I'll shower when you come out." She said as she smiled.

I washed the shampoo out and finished up in the shower. When I got out, I put my beanie back on my head and walked over the breakfast. I went over to grab my plate and tapped Betty's lips quickly. She was just too precious. She smiled and laughed but then went back to her normal look. I felt bad, one second she smiled and then the next she would be frowning and probably thinking about Chuck or her parents. I definitely did think that it would be good to have Betty live with me for a little bit. It would give her some time away from her parents and then I could also make sure she wouldn't do anything she would regret.

Betty and I were eating our food she made when I got a call. I looked at tge caller ID and saw Veronica's name. "I gotta take this." I said getting up from the table and walking into the bedroom. "Veronica?" I said into the phone. I wondered why she was calling. She literally never calls me. I was also pretty upset with her family for buying the south side. "Jughead! Ya it's me. I was planning on throwing a baby shower for Betty tomorrow. I'll need your help, also don't spoil the surprise for Betty." Veronica said excitedly over the phone. "Sure I'll help but I'm not a great party planner like you are." I said into my phone. I definitely was not a party person. "All I need you to do is bring her to the Pembrooke and tell me when she gets close. Also you may need to pick up the cake." She said. That sounded easy enough to do. "Alright I'll do that. I gotta go Veronica, I'll see you tomorrow." I said and hung up.

I walked over to the living room and sat by Betty. "Who called?" She asked. "Just Veronica. By the way, she wanted me to tell you to come over tomorrow. You, me, Archie." I explained. She nodded her head and looked down at her lap. "You ok?" I said tracing small circles on her back with my fingers. She looked down, which was a given after her 'meeting' with Chuck. "No, but I'm ok for now." She said as she layed her head onto my shoulder. "Alright Betty. Well tell me if you wanna go do something." I said trying to be supportive.

She didn't respond but instead crawled on top of me and pulled me into a passionate kiss. She tugged on my shirt pulling me close to her as she kept moving her lips in correspondence to mine. We were both out of breath so I pulled away after a while, leaving both our lips swollen and pink. "God I just love you Cooper." I said to her. She just stayed on my lap and dug her head into my chest. "Jug." She mumbled into my chest after we sat for a while. "What is it." I asked while looking over at her. "Can we go to Pops. I'm craving burgers." She said. "You know I never turn down burgers." I responded. I got off the couch and helped Betty stand up. Then we were off to Pops.
