Bughead : Lost in love

Chpt 12 : Cheerleading Veronica's POV

     Betty walked into the gym a few minutes late with her head glued down to the floor. She set her back down next to me and sat down. "Long night last night? You seem exhausted, you usually walk in with a smile." I say to her. She was my best friend time a practically a sister so I just wanted to make sure she was alright.

     "Ya I'm tired. Also family stuff has made me feeling like shit." She told me. I felt bad that she had family issues, and I wanted to help her out through it. I've had my fair share of family drama with my dad. "I'm sorry to hear that B. Wanna do something after school maybe? Maybe get our nails done? I'll be treating!" I offered to her. Betty and I usually hang out a lot so I figured maybe we could get pampered for a little bit. "Sounds like fun V."

                                 At the nail salon
      Betty and I were both sitting waiting to get our nails done. I picked black and she picked bubble gum pink. "Hey Betty now that we're not at school with everyone, you wanna talk about what's going on?" I asked her. I wanted to be supportive for her, so I thought talking about it might help. "It's just.. my parents are taking out all their anger on me after what happens to Polly. It's just among me really sad." Betty explained to me. It didn't sound too bad and I knew she was hiding something. I didn't want to invade her privacy though, if she wanted to keep something to herself I wouldn't push it out of her

     "Well I'm sorry to hear about that Betty. Just let me know if you ever need something from me. I'm always here to help out B." I told her. I just wanted her to now that I was there for her. I grabbed her hand and squeezed It reassuringly. "Thanks V. I appreciate it." Betty said with a smile. I smiled back at her with sympathy. I felt bad she was experiencing drama, but at least she has great friends to help her out.
