Bughead : Lost in love

Chpt 61 : Who's There Jughead's POV

     I woke up to feel a warm yet scraped arm wrapped around my torso. My eyes fluttered open and I saw the beautiful blonde sleeping. I moved closer to her and pushed my lips against hers. It took her a second to wake up but soon her lips captured mine and she crawled on top of me. My hands trailed underneath my shirt that Betty was wearing and further up her back. My tongue slipped in her mouth which caused a small moan to escape from her lips. We continued kissing until we heard a cry coming didn't he neighboring room. "I'll get her." I said moving her off of my lap and getting out of bed. "Thanks Jug." She said rolling over on the bed and picking her phone up.

     I got into the nursery and found Kylie crying in her bed. "Aw it's ok Kylie calm down." I said picking her up and holding her again my chest. She was calming down a little bit but she was still upset. "You wanna go see mom? Let's go see her." I said hoping it would calm her down but really all I was trying to do was be with Betty.

It's so scary almost loosing the person you love. Now all I wanna do is be around her and hug her and kiss her and spoil her. I wanted to be the best boyfriend to her but hopefully I wouldn't stay at the "boyfriend" title for long. I was actually thinking of proposing to her soon but 1) I needed and ring and 2) I was really nervous. We're both so young so I don't know if she would say yes if I asked. I know she loves me but I just don't know if she's ready for marriage yet. It was probably just nerves anyways, I even was going out with Archie to look at rings today.

I entered the bedroom with Kylie in arms still squirming and found Betty laying on the bed watching TV. "Hey guys." She said once she saw us. "She's really fussy." I said bouncing her on my chest while she cried. "Aw come here, I'll hold her." Betty said reaching out to grip Kylie who was in a purple onesie. She placed Kylie on her lap and stroked her hair until she calmed back down again. I sat next to Betty and cuddled into her while we watched tv. "How you feeling today." I said while I rubbed her shoulders. "My stitches in my leg are still sore but otherwise I'm feeling good." She said as she gripped onto my hand and squeezed it tightly. "I'm glad to hear. Do you want me to go get you water or anything." I said while Kylie started to crawl around in the bed. "I'm fine I just want to stay here with you for right now" She said leaning on my chest.

     We stayed there for a while together like that until I remembered Archie and I had an outing planned for the day. "Betts I just remembered I was going out to lunch with Archie. I can take Kylie or you can still watch her." I offered as I got out the bed. "I'll just play with Ky today. Have fun." She said tugging on my shirt to bring me closer to her. She quickly tapped my lips and allowed me to go to 'lunch' with Archie. I put my helmet on over my beanie and drove off to the ring shop.

     When I parked I met Archie by the door of the shop. "I seriously can't believe you are gonna marry Betty." Archie said laughing. "And I can't believe you had sex with a teacher." I said not trying to be rude but just trying to make a point. "Hey, shut up, let's just get the damn ring." Archie said laughing and punching my shoulder. "Alright, thanks for helping me out." I said going in. Inside there was a wide array of choices to choose from. I didn't know what Betty would like but I just figured I would be able to find something that she would like. "This ones pretty jug." Archie said pointing out a silver ring with a small stone. "Ya, I wanna keep looking though." I said as I walked around.

   I continued searching to find the perfect ring. I had to find one that I knew would be perfect. Eventually my eyes landed on a pretty good double strip ring. It had little gems around the two connected strips in the ring. "Arch I think this one looks good." I said pulling him over. "She'll love it, that's the one." Archie said patting my back. We went to the checkout and bought the ring. I hoped Betty would like it. I didn't even know when I would ask, I just know that I want to spend the rest of my life with her. "Bro, should we do Pops for lunch?" Archie asked as we got out the store. "Ya. You wanna take a ride on my bike?" I asked realizing that he's never been on my motorcycle. "Eh, I'll just drive my car and meet you there." Archie said getting into his truck.
