Bughead : Lost in love

Chpt 32 : Baby Talk Veronica's POV

When Betty told me the news that her baby was a girl I was so excited! I knew it was pretty awkward that her baby was Chuck's but I was still trying to be supportive. I put aside the fact that her situation was kind of weird and I was really excited to have my best friend having a baby!

I was planning on surprising her with a small baby shower with just me, Archie and Jughead invited. I personally think I'm a great party planner so I knew I would have to throw Betty a small baby shower. I was so excited to be apart of Betty and her child's life. She told me she wasn't planning on giving away the baby. It was really exciting to have a role in Betty's pregnancy.

     Betty agreed to meet me at Pops for some fun time together with just us. I was so excited to talk with her and think of names and what not. When I get older I'm looking forward to having kids, most likely with Archie. Him and I are so in love with eachother, I can't imangine life without him. He always supports me and he is also handling Betty's situation well. They are best friends so I just wanted to make sure he was taking things in from Betty's situation she told us about.

     I walked into Pops and found Betty sitting down with 3 milkshakes in front of her already. I sat down across from her and asked, "Who's the third milkshake for?" I wondered if she was bringing Jughead with her, not that I cared but I was excited to spend time together. "I got one milkshake for me and one for he baby." She said smiling. I laughed at her response and said "are you sure you just didn't get two for yourself." Betty moved my chocolate milkshake towards me and took a sip of her own.

     Betty was doing a good job so far with hiding her pregnancy but now that she was nearing on 5 months she was starting to show a lot more. It wasn't too obvious for someone who didn't know but it was obvious for me. "So B, what are we thinking about for names?" I asked wanting to help her pick out a name. "Oh god, I haven't really thought about it yet." She replied while finishing up her first milkshake already. "Well maybe something like Kylie  or Eli maybe. I don't know, I can't pick! This is so much pressure!" Betty said smiling and looking down at her cute belly.

     I personally liked Kylie more but I thought she needed to think of more names. I liked other names like Lili or maybe Austin but overall it was Betty's descision. "I like Kylie a lot. I also like Lili, it kinda sounds like Eli too." I replied. "Oh I like Lili. I'll have two ask Juggie and Archie for ideas too." She said smiling at my suggestion.

"So what are we thinking about for the wardrobe options." I said continue using our conversation. "I don't know V." She said in reply. "Well maybe we could shop together. I'll even buy!" I said. I was so excited for this adorable baby. "Alright V, I'm up for that, but you don't have I buy things." She said. "Uh, yes I do! This baby is practically my niece so I gotta buy her clothes! And besides, it's the least I can do to help you be a mom." I said holding her hand. Betty smiled and said, "Thanks V."

We continues on at Pops talking about typical baby talk. It was fun to be helping Betty with these things since I assumed her mom wasn't. It made me feel good to know I was helping Betty out.
