I awoke to a lot of commotion coming from downstairs. What in the world was going on? I rubbed my eyes and got up. I opened the door and made my way downstairs when I saw the brothers on top of Nash. What in the hell was going on?
I walked down the stairs until I stood in front of them with my arms crossed, looking none too pleased.
"Uh, guys," Marcy said, trying to get their attention.
"Not now, Marcy," Noah grunted.
"Guys," Kat said.
"Kat, not now," Nixon grumbled.
"Hey, losers!" Macey yelled.
They all stopped and turned to see me standing there with my arms crossed with an unamused look on my face.
"Oh," said Nolan.
They all stood up and backed away from Nash as he got up as he wiped the blood from his mouth.
"Would someone like to explain to me why my fiancé is being beaten up by his idiot brothers?" I asked them with an annoyed look.
"They all think," Brook said, pointing at everyone, "that Nash is cheating on you with Meg, because of the issues you guys had in the past," she said casually.
"What?" Nash and I both exclaimed.
"Well, you said Nash went off somewhere with Meg," Nathan said defensively.
"Because she dragged him off," I reasoned.
"And it's not like Nash has the best history where you're concerned with other women," Noah added.
"Good point," Nixon chimed in.
"So, what are you going to do about it, Maggie? I say kick his ass!" Nolan yelled.
The others nodded.
I gave them a skeptical look.
"No!" I snapped.
"No!" They all yelled in exasperation.
"I said no. First, did you bother even to ask Nash what happened?" I asked them, getting more annoyed by the minute.
"Well, no," Nixon responded.
"Exactly, look, I get you guys to worry, which is sweet but also creepy, but Nash made a promise to me, and I have to trust that he didn't go back to how he was," I said defending Nash. I looked at Nash. "You didn't, did you?"
He gave me a look and rolled his eyes, "No."
I shrugged. "See, there you have it."
"Okay, then what was he doing with Meg?" Nixon asked while turning to his brother, which made us all looked at him.
"What happened?" I asked him.
"Meg wanted to know more about Carson," he shrugged.
"Carson?" They all yelled.
"Yes, Carson, our cousin blew her off, and she wanted to know how to get him not to blow her off," he explained.
"And what did you tell her?" Nixon asked him.
"I told her, it was Carson. He doesn't like anyone except her," he said, pointing at me, causing everyone else to look at me. I placed my palm on my face.
Then we heard someone say, "Is this a bad time?"
We turned to see Meg standing there.
I got the chore of talking to Carson while Meg was upstairs with the girls. That is not what I meant by focusing on my senior year. I wanted to focus on school, not other people.
