It's been a couple of weeks since everyone started helping at the bakery. It's also been pure chaos. Nate and his brothers were something else with the baking. Marco was even more exciting.
Let's say; my brother gave a whole new meaning to being flamboyant. He wouldn't stop flirting with the guys that would come in. It was scaring the customers away. That was also causing issues between Jasper and him. I'll get to that later.
If someone wasn't dropping something, they were burning it. It was turning into a freaking nightmare, and my blood pressure was increasing. Nash was at his wit's end, and I was to the point. I wanted to throw in the towel until four brothers rescued us.
They all walked in to see what a mess things had become.
"Damn Daniel, what happened here?" Nixon asked Nash.
"I don't know, but this a mess," he grumbled while running his hand through his hair in frustration.
"I thought they knew what they were doing?" Noah asked.
"Not and Mags isn't doing well. Her stress is up, and so is her blood pressure. The doctor is not happy," he mentioned to them.
They walked over to me as I sat at a table with my head down. I was so frustrated that I started crying. I didn't want to lose the bakery, but I also didn't want to lose my babies. That was my biggest fear of losing my family since I never had a real one growing up.
"Maggie?" I heard someone say to me.
I lifted my head and wiped tears away as I saw Nixon crouched in front of me. "Make some stupid joke. It's not like I'm not already one." I sniffled.
He looked at me with concern, "No jokes, but you need some help, and it's not by them," he said, pointing at Nate and the others.
"I don't know what to do," I sobbed. "You guys are busy, and I can't ask the girls to help. It's not fair to them," I sniffled.
"Maggie, we're your best friends and sisters. Family helps the family," Kat reminded me.
"But," I sniffled.
"No buts, you guys need help. We can help until Macey has the babies," Nathan said, "then Ma and Dad can handle babysitting duties." He smirked.
"And we can help too," Marcy added.
"We can help until we have to go back," Nolan suggested while motioning between him and Brook, who nodded in agreement.
"Really?" I sniffled.
Nash took Nixon's place. "Yes, I called them and explained what was going on, baby girl. They didn't hesitate to offer to help. As they said, we're family."
I nodded as Nash wrapped his arms around me, and I hugged him back.
"Okay, boys, let's fix this," Nixon said, clapping his hands together while rubbing them together. They ousted the parents from the bakery while they went to work to clean up.
"Are we just going to let them do this?" Karen asked.
"Who cares? They help with the bakery while we get to enjoy the babies," Pat said to her.
"Wait, we did this on purpose?"
"Have you not learned anything from Lucille?" Dominique asked her.
"Oh," Karen said when she realized what they had done.
"Come on, let's go before they figure it out," Pat mentioned as they all left. The brothers also talked to Marco and straightened him out. He promised to tone it down. Well, it was that, or they would handle it. Yeah, I don't even want to know.
