For Halloween, the school was having a retro dance. Everyone could dress up from whatever decade of their choosing as long as it wasn't in the 2000s. Nash and I went with the fifties look. Everyone else chose different decades, ranging from the 20s to the 1990s. It was cool.
Andi even came in to attend with Jace and spend all weekend staying with her sister so she could spend time with him. They dressed from the 20s while the demon spawn dressed from the 30s along with their girls. Nathan and Noah dressed from the 40s while Nixon dressed from the 60s and Nolan dressed from the 80s. They covered Jaime and Bri from the 70s.
Seeing everyone dressed from different eras was unique. However, wearing a poodle skirt was interesting. Nash was lucky. He got to wear jeans, a white tee-shirt, and black shoes. Although the tee-shirt made him look hot, the black leather jacket made him look even sexier.
"Mags?" I heard his voice say.
"Yeah?"
"Are you going to stop drooling long enough so we can make the dance?" He asked me with a smirk.
I looked at Nash as the rest looked at me. "I was not drooling. I was admiring how well he wears a leather jacket," I said defensively.
"Uh-huh, sure," he smirked.
"It takes a lot for someone to pull off the leather look," I told him while putting my hand up.
"I'll remember that for later." He winked. Oh damn, I think my heart just stopped.
"Can you two putz, drool later or some shit? I want to get to the dance before it's over with," Nixon huffed.
"Testy there, brother?" Nash asked him.
"I'm always testy. Now let's go," Nixon ordered as we snickered. Nixon was always impatient with things. Imagine when he has a kid. Come on, junior, be born already. I feel bad for Kat.
We made our way to the dance. Hopefully, this one goes off without a hitch. Doubt it, but one can dream, can't they?
We walked in and made our way to the dance floor then started dancing. Things were going well until some guys cornered Andi and Gema. That was a big mistake, huge.
"Hey sweet things," one said to them their tone oozing with sleaze.
"Excuse us, we are with our guys," Gema informed him.
"Yeah, well, not for a long," another smirked.
Andi got close to Gema, as one guy tried to grab her, well was until Gema smacked him hard across the face.
"Get your hands off of her!" She barked, trying to defend her.
"You know, someone needs to teach you manners," another said while grabbing her.
"Caleb!" Gema screamed as she struggled with the aggressive guy.
That was all it took; a yell for one of the girls alerted the boys. That was never good for the guys maltreating the Gray boys' women.
"Is there a problem here?" Nash asked them. The five of them turned to see all the Gray brothers and cousins standing there along with their dates.
"Yeah, but we're handling it," one guy smirked.
Jace looked at them. "Yeah, I don't think so."
"Why's that?" Another guy questioned him.
"That girl you are trying to paw is my girl, and that girl who you maltreated is his girl," he pointed to Caleb, who was seething. "Now we can do this the easy way or the Gray way. It's your choice."
