With me being on bed rest and Nathan and Macey's twins being a month old, Nash wanted to have host Christmas at our house. Everyone agreed. Thank God because Christmas would suck if I had to stay in bed.
Nate helped Nash get a tree and decorate it. While Pat baked and cooked. I'm stuck on the couch. Yay for bed rest. Can't you tell how happy I am with this arrangement?
Nash looked at me. "Oh, cheer up babygirl, it'll be okay."
I had a sour look on my face.
"Nash, this is ridiculous. Our first Christmas as a married couple, and I can't even do anything," I groaned.
"Sweetheart, it's just one day," Nate told me.
"Dad, you don't understand. I wanted to decorate the tree with my husband. Make cookies, dinner, and all that other jazz that goes along with it," I huffed while waving my arms around in the air.
"We know, but trust me, once the babies are here, you will get to do all this with them," Nate explained. Yeah, these babies need to come. I was running out of the room. The doctor said they were all measuring at around four pounds apiece. That was normal. Multiples always measure smaller.
There was a knock at the door, and Pat answered it. In walked Nixon with Kat waddling behind him. She waddled over to the couch and sat down next to me.
"I don't know how you do it, Maggie. Having two is a lot of work. But five? Good god," she said to me.
"She isn't. She complains a lot," Nash smirked.
I gave him a look. "No fun time for you."
"Uh-huh, sure," he rolled his eyes.
"Ow my bleeding ears," Nixon exclaimed, covering his ears.
"What are you talking about, Nixon? You're just as bad," Kat retorted.
"And you enjoy every minute," he shot back.
Then came a knock, "Save by the door, thank god," Nate groaned.
In walked Noah and Marcy, she waddled over to us and sat down next to me on the couch. We looked a sight.
"Ugh, I will be so happy when they come," Marcy groaned.
"Honey, I'm trying," Noah assured her.
"Well, try harder. I thought sex speeds things up," Marcy snapped at him.
"Give me a break. Mr. Winky needs to recover too, you know," he snapped back.
"How did I get stuck here while your mother is in the kitchen?" Nate asked with a sigh.
"Just lucky, I guess," Nixon shrugged.
Then came another knock. Nate opened the door as Nathan and Macey walked in carrying each baby.
"Pat......" Nate started to yell until Pat ran into the room, knocking Nate out of the way, "Come to nana my precious babies," she said as she took them from Nathan and Macey. "Let's go help Nana in the kitchen." She promptly walked off with both car seats in hand.
"So much for ma saying hi," Nathan huffed.
"What's your problem?" Nixon asked him.
"Having no sex is the problem. We have a couple more weeks to go," Macey answered as Nathan looked miserable.
"Dude, you don't have any idea how hard it is not to pound the shit out of your old lady. Especially when she has a delectable ass," he huffed again.
