Wedding decisions

After the whole Halloween fiasco, Nash and I were getting bombarded with wedding decisions. They could do whatever they wanted. All I wanted to do was show up.

I lay on the bed and stared at the ceiling. Nash walked in and climbed on top of me. He hovered over me. "The ceiling will still be there, no matter how hard you stare at it."

"I know," I sighed.

"What's wrong, baby girl?"

"Is it weird that I don't care what they decide at the wedding?"

He looked at me curiously.

I reached up and wrapped my arms around his neck. "All I want to do is say I do."

A smile curled upon his lips as he leaned down and kissed me, then my phone went off. He sighed, and so did I. Please let this not be about the wedding. I looked at my phone, and it was a random number. I answered it, "Hello?"

They started speaking, and finally, I said, "No, I don't want to buy any magazines." I promptly hung up. I hate solicitors.

My phone went off again, and I answered it is snapping. "I already said I don't want your stupid magazines!"

Good thing I'm not selling any. Someone chuckled.

"I'm sorry. Who is this?"

Kate Jones, they introduced themselves.

My eyes widened, and I put her on speaker so Nash could also hear.

I was wondering if it would interest you in learning about baking?

That took me by surprise. I didn't even know this woman.

Someone has told me great things about you from other teachers. They said you have a talent for baking and cooking. I want to cultivate that.

I had never given it much thought until recently when Nash mentioned it. I took culinary classes and baking classes so I could at least cook for us without killing us. I don't think it would be great if Nash had to have his stomach pumped.

What do you say, Maggie?

I looked at Nash, and he nodded in agreement.

"Sure, that sounds great," I answered.

Good, you will intern with me starting tomorrow.

She hung up, and I looked at Nash, shocked. That was surreal. I would have never thought someone would call and offer me an internship like this.

"Well, I guess you know what you will do for a career, and I won't have to worry about you are killing me with your cooking," he smirked.

I grabbed a pillow and smacked him with it. As we laughed, he went to kiss me until we heard yelling. Now, what was going on?

We got up and walked out of the room, making our way downstairs.

"Is it my fault your girl doesn't have a sense of humor?" Carson asked Cody.

"That was bullshit, and you know it!" Cody yelled at him.

"Is there a reason you tools have come here and yell at each other? Couldn't you have done that at your place?" Nixon asked them.

"Considering, jackass here pulled a prank on Becca, no, I'm moving out!" Cody announced.

We all looked at him. "And just where are you moving to?" Nash asked him.

"I was thinking, possibly here," Cody grinned.

"Yeah, no," Nathan said.

"Why not? You guys have room!"
