We were in the school's hallway when Jace's phone went off. He looked at it and answered, "Andi?"

Get off of me! He heard her scream.

"Andi!" he screamed into the phone.

I told you to stay out of things! He heard a deep voice say on the other end.

Jace put it on speaker, and we heard scuffling and banging. Nash and Jace looked at each other then ran with Nash, grabbing my hand as we ran to the car.

On our way to Andi, Nash called Nixon to fill him in on what was happening. Jace had hit the find my phone app to locate her. Nash sped towards home and Andi's school.

It took two hours, but he pulled up to the school, and the car screeched to a halt. Jace didn't waste any time getting out of the vehicle. Nash and I ran after him.

He busted through the doors and ran towards the signal then found her. A couple of guys were attacking her. A fire burned in his eyes as he charged towards them, knocking them off both their feet. "Get off of her!"

Nash followed suit. They beat the shit out of the two guys while I tended to Andi. She was bleeding. I stayed with her while they finished the two guys off. Then Jace walked over, and I got out of the way. He lifted her bridal style and carried her out of the school.

"It's okay, baby. I got you, and no one will ever hurt you again," he whispered as she buried her head into this chest while he carried her out to the car.

She looked up at him. "You came."

"Always," he told her, and with that, she passed out.

We took her to the hospital, treated for her injuries. Jace stayed with her while we waited in the waiting room. Her parents showed up a few minutes later, frantic.

They talked to Nash as he explained what happened, then they made their way back to see their daughter.

"This is familiar," I said to him, not realizing why?

He looked at me with an arched eyebrow. "Yeah, it's too familiar."

It was a while before Jace came out. When he emerged, he explained what was going on. "They will keep her overnight for observation."

"How is she?" Nash asked him.

"Pretty beat up. Nash, those boys have been making her life a living hell. I want to kill them for hurting her," Jace huffed.

"I know," Nash replied, understanding how he felt since it was the same way he thought about me.

We talked as her parents came out, stopping to speak to us. "Thank you. We had reservations about Andi dating someone so much older but not anymore," her dad said to Jace.

Jace looked at him. "With all due respects sir, I love your daughter. I hate that I am so far from her," he reasoned.

"Jace, what are you saying?" Nash asked him.

He turned to Nash. "I'm saying; I'm taking Andi back with us."

"Oh, hun, we can't let you do that," her mom protested.

He looked at them. "I'm not backing down from this. Andi is my girl, and those animals went after her. I won't allow that to happen ever again."

We stood there. Jace was dead serious about this, and he would not back down with Andi.

Nash and I looked at each other.

"What about school?" Her dad asked him.

"I can set up online courses for her; that way, she can still be able to graduate," he explained as we looked at him curiously.
