Mallory's POV:
It had been two days since we had re-chained Fernis. Magnus has settled in and was growing used to the afterlife. Today we had done pillow fights to the death. Halfborn suffocated me after I had done so to Magnus.
I stepped out of my warm shower and pulled on sweatpants and an oversized shirt. Then I sat on my bed watching the fire burn in the fire place on the other side of the room.
I laid back and sighed, I wasn't sure what Halfborn and I were. I had basically told him I liked him, and he had put is arm around my waist after the funeral. I sighed again and felt myself begin to drift off.
I dreamed of my mates and I back from Ireland. We were sitting on the docks, out bare-feet swung in the water. We all laughed and smiled. The sunshine was on my face, this was one of my favorite memories.
I shot up in my bed, I saw Halfborn in my room, a pillow in hand. "Did you hit me with a pillow?" I asked anger rising to my face.
"Yep," I could here his smirk in his voice. "Now go get dress and meet me in the hall, hurry up." He then turned and left, shutting the door behind him.
For a while I just sat there debating rather I should go or not. It was currently 11:47, I finally got up and changed into a pair of jeans, a grey shirt with a green Valhalla sweatshirt . Slipping on some running shoes, I went to join the idiot in the hall.
Halfborn was standing against the wall as he saw me he looked quit pleased with himself and wearing a shirt. "So, where are we going?" I asked. "You'll see Miss Keen."
I rolled my eyes and followed him as he lead us out of the hotel.
We walked side by side down the dark streets of Boston, "you gonna tell where we are going, oaf?" I asked yet again. "Keep asking and I'll take a detour the long way." He said with a huff. "Okay, Okay, but are we almost there at least?" I said giving into his game.
The city was disappearing around us and we soon got to a park. A little while later we stopped. "Stay here." Halfborn said with a smirk and went into the bushes. A little cursing and some rustling and Halfborn appeared with a scratched face and a picnic basket. He then laid out a blanket he had taken from the basket and then a candle he then lit.
"Um, this is what exactly?" I ask, "Well I thought I should do something special for our first date." He said, was that apprehension I sensed in his voice?
I tackled him in a hug and kissed him. "Your such and idiot." I say, we sit down and eat some food he brought, laughing about Magnus's death today. He had been killed by a tree branch, it hit him and he bled out from a major artery the branch had punctured.
As we were packing up Halfborn asked "so does this make us a "thing?" I smirked and replied "maybe."
He rolled his eyes and put an arm around my waist has we made our way back to the hotel. We both had stupid smirks on our faces.
Back at my room Halfborn gave me a passionate kiss goodnight and I went into my room and shut the door. I then went to my couch and squealed in my giddiness. I changed back into my pajamas and fell asleep with a smile on my face.
Halfborn's POV:
The date had gone very well. I'm pretty sure Mal and I were officially a "thing". I went to my room put took off my shirt and fell onto my bed with a feeling of achievement and happiness coursing through my veins.
