Halfborn POV:
It had been two weeks since we got back from Niflheim. I had just come back from the library, I slowly began to doze off in my bed.
I dreamed of leaving my mom, her brown eyes filled with tears as I left. I then flashed to my death, the weapons flew in the air. Then I was at my near second death, Mallory leaning over me crying.
Then I was at something I had never seen before, it was a hill, T.J. would probably want to conquer it.
An explosion shook the ground, fire grew around me, surrounding me in a ring. Outside the circle I heard screams, searching frantically I see my mother, my fellow Vikings from the older days, they were coughing from the smoke and bleeding from multiple wounds.
Then I see my past hall-mates that couldn't last long. Then Magnus, Alex and T.J., Sam, Blitz and Hearth. all dying. When I tried to run to them the fire grew and my friends would get further away.
Then a scream chilled my bones, Mallory was burning and bleeding from gashes on her face and body. What was worse was that she got closer to the ring and she started laughing, a sick laugh.
She laughed until her sick laughs turned to coughing. She then dropped dead just two feet away from me.
I jolted up in my bed, sweat on my face and sheets. I placed my head in my hands, I herd a knock.
Mallory came in concern on her features. "What do you want Keen?" I say wiping my tears before she can see.
Without saying a word she came over and wrapped her arms around me. I buried my face in her hair and let the tears flow, sobbing, she held me.
She began to sing in Celtic, her voice soft and soothing. I sobbed until my eyes and throat were soar. My chest throbbed with pain.
Pain from the people I had lost, pain from the thought of losing my shield siblings.
I focused on Mal's singing, I didn't understand all the words but I understood the basic meaning. It was about a perfect place, sun on the ocean, and on the green fields. Peaceful.
Mallory's voice began to get softer as she drifted off to sleep. "Love you, Mallory Keen." I say into her hair. "Love you too Halfborn Gunderson."
She muttered and we both slipped into a peaceful sleep.
