19 - Together?

We go and have dinner with Doug then I put him to bed. "Go give daddy hugs and kisses goodnight then I'll tuck you in and read you your story."

Doug runs out the room in his pyjamas and runs towards the living room. I over hear their little conversation, which is once again followed by little footsteps running back at me. I pick him up and lie him down in bed. I read him a story then tuck him in.

"I love you Mandy. I want you to be my real step-mom one day. Not just daddy's friend from work." He looks up at me with a sparkle in his eyes. I crouched down to his side and rubbed his forehead.

"I love you too Dougy. I love you so much, and maybe one day I will be your step-mom. We are going to have a day as a family tomorrow, because neither daddy or I have any work to do. We will definitely play zoos again if you want. Goodnight and I'll see you in the morning Doug."

"Wait can you get my Elephant? I want to sleep with it again."

"Of course." I run out his room and come back with the stuffed animal. I give it to him and he cuddles up with it.

"Thank you. Goodnight Mandy."

"I love you Douglas. Goodnight sweet heart." I kiss his forehead and turn off his nightlight. I close the door and head back out to Chris. "He's all tucked in, cuddling the elephant." I say leaning on his shoulder.

"I'm glad. You mean the world to that kid."

"He said he wants me to be his real step-mom and not just daddy's friend from work."

"Well you are my girlfriend, in that retrospect you are his real step mom. Let's watch some TV babe, after a busy day."

"Okay." I go grab the blanket from the corner of the room and place it over us. We cuddle up together. Chris gives me a few kisses and I smile against his lips and kiss back. At ten I decide I want to go to bed. "Babe I'm going to sleep now. I'll see you in the morning my love." I stand up and head towards my room.

"Mandy wait." Chris stands up and takes my hands. "Sleep in my bed. To to bed with me. I just want to hold you on my arms tonight. Asking you to be my girlfriend was the best decision I've made in a long time. Please lie in bed with me."

I smile up at him and give him a kiss. I rest my head on his chest. "I love you Chris. I'll just go get my stuff and then I'll join you." I walked off to to my room, excited to share a bed with Chris. I changed into my cute PJs, did my teeth and hair then walked into his room. Chris was half way through changing. He had his shorts on and was trying to find a top. "Hey handsome." I said leaning against the door.

"Hey cutie." He said turning and smiling at me. "Let me find a tank top and I'll be right there."

"You don't need no tank top. You look better without it." I glanced down at his strong abs that I was seeing for the first time. I walked over to him and rested my hands on his chest. "So handsome." I lightly kissed his upper chest before he pulled me onto the bed. I giggled lightly then kissed his lips once. "I love you. Goodnight gorgeous boy." I rolled over and wrapped his arms around my front.

Thankfully he knew what I was trying to do, and he spooned me. It was a perfect fit. He kissed my neck and said "I love you. Goodnight baby girl." I giggled one more time before I fell asleep in his arms.
