56 - Kids?

We took our bows and then stepped back to allow Karen to take a bow on her own. We had been open on Broadway for 1 year and our contracts were up. She'd been offered the role of Anita in a new revival of West Side Story. We were all excited for her but were sad to see her go. She promised that she would come visit us though. She gave her bow and then attacked me in a hug on stage. "I'm going to miss you Mandy. So much. Keep me up to date with you and Chris. Don't forget about me."

"I could never forget about you. Besides Chris, you are my best friend K. I love you so much. She then thanked Lin with a hug and we all walked off stage. We changed back into our regular clothes then had cake, before going to the stage door.

Once home, Chris and I headed straight to bed. I posted a collage of pictures of Karen and tweeted it.
'Going to miss my queen K so much. So sad to see you go, but I know you will smash WSS. Do us proud sister.' I tagged her in it then put my phone on the bed side table.

"Um Mandy?" Chris asked slightly worried.

"Yes babe. What's up?"

"Well it's been a year and we can now leave the show whenever we are ready. With our months notice. And I um, was wondering if..."

I cupped his cheeks and cut him off with a kiss, I knew exactly what he was asking. "Yes Chris, I want to grow our family. I want us to try to have a child together."

"Really?" His hands rested on my hips.

"Yes boo. I've always wanted my own kids. And now we've been open for a year, we can start trying. Having Doug in my life is amazing, but I still want to have at least one child with my genes if you know what I mean."

"Of course I do babe." He put his hands on my shirt and lifted it off me. I did the same to him before making out with him for a few minutes. I rested my hands on his chest and smiled against his soft lips.

He slowly took off my leggings and started grinding against me as I undid his zipper. Before long we were having sex for the first time together without protection. And it feels so much better. After he releases in me, he pulls out and lies down facing up on the bed. "I'm excited to have a kid Chris. I'm really excited. Can we make one promise? I leave when you leave, and you leave when I leave. So if I fall pregnant first then you leave with me. And if you're ready to finish in the Heights before that happens, because you've been with it for so long. Then I'll leave with you. I can't do this show without you Chris. And I want our final bows to be together."

"Of course Mandy. I wouldn't want it any other way. And no matter when in the next few years we welcome our baby boy or baby girl, I will love him or her so much. I love you baby girl."

"I love you too handsome." I laid my head on his chest and smiled up at him. "My beautiful boy." I whispered.

"My gorgeous girl." He whispered back, squeezing me slightly. He kissed the top of my head as I fell asleep in his arms.
