30 - Chris's Mom?

We grabbed our bags and headed to the theatre to meet Chris's mom. We arrived at the theatre and Chris picked up the tickets for our parents and Doug from the box office, and we sat on one of the couches in the lobby. A few staff were going around making the final touches. When a voice came from the door. "There's my baby boy."

"Mom!" Chris whined as he jumped up and ran into his moms arms. I stood up and waited just behind Chris. "I'm a grown man with a child. I'm not a baby." I snickered a little.

"You are always my baby boy Chris, you know that. Now where's Mandy?" Chris turned and gestured to me.

"Hey Jane." She brought me into a hug. I hugged back, just glad she was happy to meet me. After she pulled back she took my hands in hers.

"Mandy darling, you are a gorgeous girl. And I'm sure an incredible actress, Chris has told me so much about you and I'm sure you love each other very much." I felt Chris's arms go around my waist.

"I love your son loads. More than anything. He's the kindest, sweetest, most loving person I've met. I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend. And little Douglas is the best kid ever. Chris is an amazing father and I'm sure he learnt lots from you in the parenting aspect of life."

"Well, you make a great step-mom as well Mandy. I love you so much gorgeous." Chris said looking over my shoulder. He squeezed me, causing me to giggle and bend over away from him.

I turned my head to face him. "Come her pretty boy." He stood me fully back up and he moved his head towards mine. I then kissed him lightly and quickly a few times. "I love you Chris." I then kissed him again before turning back to face his mom.

"You two are so cute together is adorable. I can't wait to see you perform these roles together." We went and sat on the couch and talked more.

"Nana Jane." I heard from the door and I saw my parents there, and Doug running towards us.

"Look at my handsome boy." She lifted him up, gave him a kiss on the cheek and set him down again. "I missed you monster. You've grown so much as well."

"Well. He is four and a half now mom. It's been almost one and a half years since you last saw him." Chris pointed out. "Come here monkey." Doug ran over to Chris as I talked to my parents a little.

"Okay my turn for hugs and kisses." I crouched down and opened my arms as he ran into them. I picked him up, spun around and put him on my hip. "You look so handsome and smart Douglas. You look more handsome than daddy." We both giggled at each other and looked at Chris.

"What are you two giggling at?" Chris walked over and put an arm around me.

"Nothing." I said simply.

"Mama said I looked more handsome than you do." Doug giggled.

Chris smiled at me and kissed my temple. "We'll see about that later." He whispered in my ear. "Oh mom, this is Mandy's parents Robin and Paul. Robin and Paul, this is my mom Jane. I also have all four of your tickets on me." He gave all four to my mom and then spoke again. "Mandy and I are gunna head up to our dressing rooms, then we will bring Doug back down for you guys to all look after him during the show. We are going to try and get him on the red carpet with us, but after that you can all take him home and put him to bed. Mom you know his schedule, and routine. Obviously it will be late but just get him to sleep as soon as possible."

"Of course."

"Have some time to get to know each other." I said as the three of us walked off.
