I woke up with a sudden jolt. Sunlight poured through the window. At first was was confused on where I was. Then I remembered I was in town and searching for Adam. Sighing, I stood up and changed into jeans, a red tee shirt, and put the jacket on. I shouldered my backpack after I had memorized the plan. Next, I went out of the room and walked out the door.

Pedestrians walked past and didn't pay to much attention to me. Which didn't bother me. I looked around. I saw an Applebee's, a Walmart a few miles away, and a bunch of stores and traffic was busy. I decided to head towards Walmart. As I walked, I had a strange feeling that I was being followed. I checked behind me and didn't see anyone. When I reached the cross walk. My phone buzzed in my pocket.

From:BlockedNumber To:Sawyer

I see you, Sawyer. But you don't see me. Look to your right and you'll receive a clue.

I looked to my right and saw a mailbox. In that mail box was a note. And in that note was a clue. Which said:

Sawyer,

Very good! Very good indeed. Now I want you to go back to the woods but go the long way. Meaning, go towards Walmart, across the bridge, through an old abandoned factory and then go through the woods till you reach the waterfall. All of this should take....oh I don't know. A day or two at the most. So by nightfall or so you should reach it. Have fun.

I yelled in frustration as I walked towards Walmart. I wanted to know who this guy is and where my father is. But I need to focus on finding Adam. As I walked, I realized that it was three in the afternoon. What time did I get up? Must have been late if it's already three. My stomach growled and I found a doughnut shop. After that I made my way towards Walmart and I went across the parking lot towards the bridge. As I walked, it started raining. I reached the edge of the parking lot and saw the bridge. But it was flooded somehow. Since I couldn't cross, I found a rundown shelter beside it and spent the rest of my time there. The rain intensified as the day went on.

Soon it was eight at night and I had a granola bar for dinner. I sighed heavily as I got onto the ground and pulled my blanket near me. I'm surprised that the place that I was staying in wasn't flooded. Then I said a silent prayer and fell asleep to the sound of the rain hitting the roof.
