When I woke up, the sun was shining through the window. I sat up in bed and sighed. Only five more days till the concert. And I only know what I'm doing for the last song. Another sigh escaped my mouth as I got up and shuffled over to my closet. I opened the doors and rummaged through for an outfit. Eventually I picked out blue jean shorts and a purple tee shirt. Once I was changed I ran out and went down stairs. It was quiet. Too quiet. And it seemed old. What's going on? I made my way to the kitchen and saw a note on the fridge. I walked over and took it off. It read:
Michelle,
I had to go out for a few hours. I'll be back before noon.
Love,
Mom
I found myself looking at the clock. It said it was noon. Wow. Where could mom be? Oh well. Then I felt like bursting into tears. I just now remembered that she's supposed to be in jail since she killed Austin. But why was she with me for the past few days? The phone rang and I jumped. I answered it.
"Hello?" I said
"Is this Michelle Cathleen Young?" A male voice asked
Fear settled in my stomach. How could this guy know my full name? I counted to three then spoke," Y-yes. This is her. Who is calling?"
"My name isn't important right now. I need you to trust me. You'll probably be scared but you need to do it," the man said,"I need you-"
Click! The line went dead. What the heck just happened? Then the lights flickered on and off. I also heard thunder and saw flashes of light. What's happening? Slowly I put the phone back and went downstairs. As I went, it seemed like the stairs were changing. Like I was in a different room. I also saw faces and images. It scared me. I hope this isn't real. I reached the bottom and it felt all squishy and gross. I took a step forward, saw a figure screaming, and fell through the floor.......
