I was thrown violently across a room. I had no idea where I was. My body ached as I landed against the cold hard floor and laid there motionless. Austin walked over, bent down, put a plate down with food and a cup on it, and slid it over to me. I looked at it then at him. He had a look that said: eat it, and that's all you're getting. I glared at Austin then sat up. I held the plate in my hand. On it was stale bread and a dirty mug with water. I sighed and bit into it. I felt like barfing as I forced myself to swallow the piece of bread. I took a sip of the water and spit it out. In anger, I threw the mug at Austin. Same for the plate. He dodged it and laughed. I hugged my knees to my chest and blinked back tears. I'm gonna die, I thought as I watched Austin leave.

My eyes scanned the room. It was small and like an old fashioned jail cell. On the left there was a bared window ten feet of the ground and a wooden plank held by chains on the wall under the window. I guess that's the bed. In front of me there was the door it was made of wood and there was a small bared part in it. Second time I've been kidnapped by the same guy. What in the heck does he want with me? Or dad for that matter? I sighed heavily and stood up. My feet led me to the window. I climbed onto the bed and stood on my tiptoes. I saw a street and pedestrians walking around but no real sign to show where I am. I jumped to get a better look but when I landed on the wood, the chains snapped and I fell to the ground with a yell. My head came in contact with the ground. I heard someone yelling and running.

The door flung opened and I stayed put. Instead of seeing Austin, I saw a man with dirty blonde hair. He smiled at me.

"Hello, Michelle," the man said as he helped me up.

"Uh do I know you?" I asked as I backed away from him

The man laughed and shook his head. "No you don't know me. I used to tour with your dad. I'm-"

My eyes grew wide. "Daniel Jorgensen! But the reason you stopped touring with Dad was because you hurt a fan!"

Daniel held his hands up to show that he wouldn't hurt me. I stared at him. He reassured me he wasn't going to hurt me. I protested and said how could I trust him. Daniel took a deep breath and said that Dad sent him. I told him I needed proof. He laughed and tossed me his cell phone. It said dad was on hold. I brought it off of hold and I heard Dad's voice over the phone. My legs felt shaky. Dad began talking fast and was crying. I told him I'm alright and I'll see him soon. Then I hung up. I tossed it back to Daniel. Then I heard Austin yelling. Daniel brought out a gun and shot Austin. I stared at him. He told me that we need to go. I nodded my head and we ran down the hallway of the building. We turned left, right, another left, and we reached the exit and burst through the door. The sun was setting. It's evening already? I was confused on where we were. Then Daniel threw me in a car and said we're driving to Rode Island since everyone else is there. I stared out the window. As we drove, I realized that we were in Des Moines, Iowa. We have a long drive ahead of us.

"Hey Daniel? If you disliked my dad why are you helping him?" I asked

Daniel slammed on his breaks as we neared a red light. He looked at me with a shocked expression. "Who said anything about disliking Adam? Just because I hurt a fan doesn't mean I'm evil. And I'm helping him because he's my friend and your his daughter."

I didn't say anything. I nodded my head and pointed out that the light was green. He began to drive. A few hours passed and we were still in Iowa. It was dark and midnight. We stopped twice at a rest area and once at a gas station and once at Wendy's for dinner. I yawned and moaned. Daniele told me to get in the back so I could sleep. He pulled on the side of the highway and put his four ways on. I climbed in back and got myself situated. As we continued driving, I looked out the window and saw a star. I made a wish, said a prayer, and fell asleep to cars passing by.
