Chapter XL-'Cause after all those wings will take you up so high

For the past three days I've been down in the basement. I have the rest of the 'Ultraviolet EP' finished. And the concert is tomorrow.

I sat at the table eating my breakfast when the doorbell rang. I sighed, got up, walked to the door and answered it. Standing in front of me was Breanne, Jasper, Daniel, and Gabriel. I invited them in and we went to the living room. I noticed that mom was reading a book on the recliner. I cleared my throat and she looked up. I told her that we would be down in the basement recording. Mom nodded her head and went right back to her book. A smile spread across my face as I led the gang down stairs. We reached the recording studio and I went straight to the computer and turned it on.i headed everyone headphones. Once everyone was in place, we started recording.

The next day

I followed Breanne, Daniel, Jasper, and Gabriel to the dressing room. The concert starts in an hour and I have butterflies in my stomach. When we reached the dressing room, I saw clothes laid out across a table. To my left there was a changing room and to my right there was a place to do makeup and stuff. I got mine and it was a long sleeve white button up shirt, a black tie, a black skirt that goes just above my knees and knee-high black stylish boots. The guys had the same except they wore dress shoes instead of boots. And Breanne wore a black dress with a blue sweater. I didn't feel like wearing makeup so I didn't put any on. Once everyone was ready, we had thirty minuets on stage to practice. I exhaled sharply and we got in a circle and said a prayer. Then we went out and made our way to the stage. As we walked, Jasper and them told me not to be nervous. I laughed but frowned right after. When we reached the stage, I felt scared. The area where the audience sit was empty and big. To my right was the keyboard where Breanne played, to my left, Jasper's guitar was on a holder and the drums were in the middle of the back of the stage. There was a microphone on a stand in the middle in the center of the stage. Everyone got in place and we started practicing.

The thirty minuets flew by fast and we went off stage just as people started trickling in and finding places to either sit or stand. Then once everyone was in, we went on stage.
