Adam's POV

I stared at AnnMarie with a sad expression. She grabbed my shoulders and set me up. AnnMarie also untied me. I shot up and clenched my fists. My arm flew up and I was ready to punch her when one of the guys grabbed my arm, twisted it, and put it behind my back. I yelled out in pain. Tears stung my eyes. AnnMarie wrapped her arms around my neck, fear settled in my stomach. With my free hand I tried to push her away but she ended up kissing me. I was taken by surprise, the guy that pined my arm against my back let go. Slowly, my arms went around her waist and I pulled her close. AnnMarie started to deepen it when I pulled away and shoved her away from me. I began to freak out. What have I done?! I started pacing back and forth muttering to myself when she slapped my face. I froze and looked at her. Her hands were on her hips.

"Um just so you know, I'm married. So please don't do that again. And why did you become a drug dealer or whatever you're doing?" I questioned with my voice cracking

AnnMarie sighed. "Yes sadly you are married and have a wonderful daughter."

My head jerked back in shock. "How in the heck do you know that I have a daughter?!"

She pointed over to Austin. I looked over at him and rushed over. I was about punch him but I ended up punching the guy who held him. He let go of Austin and he fell to the ground coughing. Then he hit me and everyone stared fighting. It was compleat chaos. I sank to the ground and found Austin still sprawled out. He wasn't moving. I shook his shoulder and he lifted his head. I told him we need to get out of here. He nodded his head and got on his hands and knees.

Together we crawled through the crowd of people fighting. When we reached the end we got to our feet and sprinted towards the opening. We neared it then we were stopped by AnnMarie.

"Let us through," Austin said through gritted teeth.

"No."

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "AnnMarie please. I need to get back to Michelle and Miranda. What happened to you over the last fifteen years?"

She didn't answer. She stepped aside and we ran. I glanced behind my shoulder and we made eye contact. They showed sadness. I shook my head and looked ahead of me. I saw a car in front of us. Austin reached into his pocket and brought keys. He unlocked it and I was about to get in when AnnMarie yelled at me to wait. I did and she sprinted towards us. She reached us and looked me in the eye.

"What happened to me over the past fifteen years is; I moved on. I was regretting my choice to move here when we were together and I chose the wrong path out of anger. I'm sorry," she whispered.

Then she placed her hand on my cheek and kissed it. I blinked and my face grew hot. I watched her run off towards the group of people. I heard them curse and a gunshot. AnnMarie fell over dead. Tears formed in my eyes. Then Austin beeped the horn. Reluctantly, I got in and we sped towards the airport.

We boarded the plane safe and sound. We weren't chased by maniacs and we reported the drug dealers to the police. I sighed happily as the plan took off and I was rest assured that I'm on my way home. Austin sat beside me and started apologizing for everything he did wrong to me.

"Whoa. Calm down Austin. I forgive you. And by the way, the past is in the past. Just let it to and we can help you move on. Okay?" I said

Austin smiled and nodded his head. "Yeah."

I readjusted myself on the chair and closed my eyes. This one part from the song 'To The Sky' was in my head:

On the heels of war and wonder

There's a stormy world up there

You can't whisper above the thunder

But you can fly anywhere.......
