Adam's POV

We reached the hospital in Minnesota and all of us sat in the waiting room. Miranda had her head rested against my shoulder. My eyes stung from crying. In fact, everyone in the room who waited for Michelle was either crying or was done crying. I looked up at the ceiling and began to pray out loud. Then, Jasper, Gabriel, Breanne, Daniel, Miranda and I stood up and got into a circle. We went around and said encouraging things. Once that was finished I prayed out loud again. We all held hands and said The Lord's Prayer together. Next we sat down and waited some more.

Countless hours passed and the doctor came in and asked for Miranda and I. We looked at each other then slowly stood up and walked with him. We went into the hallway away from the waiting room. The doctor had a worried look on his face. I held Miranda's hand.

"Mr. and Mrs. Young, I'm sorry to inform you, but your daughter is dying. There's only one thing we can do and that's a blood transplant since she there is poison in her blood stream," the doctor told us. He looked right at me and sighed heavily," and I'm afraid the only person who matches is you, sir."

I blinked at him. A wave of emotions swept over me. Miranda told me not to do it. The doctor and I both shot her a strange expression. I forced her to look at me.

"So let me get this straight. You don't want me to sacrifice my life for our daughter and you want her to die? Miranda, if I let you do that I'll never be able to live with myself! I love Michelle as much as you do!" I told her

She looked at me with a mean expression on her face. "You weren't even there for her until now," she pointed out. Then muttered,"I shouldn't have told you to come to Rode Island or I should have lost contact with you completely."

I scoffed at her. I was ticked. The doctor and I made eye contact. I told him I would do the blood transplant. He nodded his head and walked off. Miranda slapped me in the face. I ignored her and walked back into the waiting room. When I sat down beside Jasper, Miranda sat beside me and was yelling at me. I held my head in my hands and sighed heavily. I let her yell at me for a few more minuets until I yelled

"SHUT UP!"

Miranda stopped talking and looked at me with watery eyes. I glared at her. Then I told her that she could stay here and help support Michelle or leave and not speak to me until this was sorted out. She scoffed at me and stood up. I watched her walk away and I heard her mutter things. I was angry and upset. I wanted my daughter to live. Jasper, Breanne, Daniel and Gabriel all looked at me with sad expressions. I was overwhelmed and broke down into tears as we were still there waiting. I prayed that a miracle would happen.
