Chapter XLIII-To The Sky Alternate Ending

Adam's POV

I stared at my daughter who was on stage. She wore a black skirt that goes just above her knees, knee-high black stylish boots, a white long sleeve button up shirt, with a black vest and a black tie. The gang wore the same thing. Well, the guys did, Breanne wore a black dress with a blue sweater. Anyways, Michelle sat on a stool and held an acoustic guitar. I was hidden in the shadows near the stage at the stairs to get onto it. It was hard not to run out when she looked at me at the beginning of the concert. But I needed her to do the song. And I already heard her do the others ones. She's good. I sighed and looked down at myself. I wore ripped jeans, black high-tops, and a red tee shirt. I heard Michelle start the intro to 'To the sky.' For some reason, tears formed in my eyes when I heard Michelle sing this song. I guess I can relate to it after al we've been through. She has a beautiful voice. I noticed that Jasper, Breanne, Daniel and Gabriel weren't doing any of their instruments. Now I started softly sobbing. When she got to the chorus, I could hear that she was close to tears. Michelle kept on singing and near the bridge of the song, I pulled myself together and snuck over to Breanne. I tapped her shoulder, she jumped and looked at me in disbelief. I put my finger to my mouth and she kept quiet. I made eye contact with Jasper and Gabriel and Daniel. They did their best not to freak out. I smiled and went back into the shadows. Michelle ended the song and hung her head. I counted to twenty and I saw her look up and start talking. She was telling a story that she told me when we were in the helicopter before the operation. My stomach twisted into a knot and forced myself to swallow. After a few minuets more tears were rolling down my face. Then she told everyone that she would do the last song which is 'Honey and the Bee.' I exhaled softly and grabbed a microphone. Jasper was supposed to be singing with her. But I'm going to. I turned it on and the intro started. Then I walked out, everyone cheered, and Michelle stared at me with tears in her eyes. I nodded my head and I stared singing.
