Again. Still in a rotten situation, still in this universe that made him want to throw up. Again! Finn thought something was wrong with him. He curses himself for being so impulsive. Poe hit him on the shoulder.

- Nothing, we continue to the evacuation pipes. Are you sure there are no sensors there?

Finn turned to Poe, still squatting.

- Sensors only detect stagnant objects in these ducts. They are made to avoid piles and plugs. If we go ahead, there will be no problem.

He also thought to himself that if they were searched for, as the intrusion alarms they had heard would predict, no one would think they were only two. You had to be crazy to hope to free Rey only two. Really, it would not be necessary in the future and if they would not die, let Poe surpass his original plan in terms of suicidal risk.

Poe had a laugh before his defeated face. He gave him another slap on the shoulder.

- Come on Finn. We are moving forward, I'm sure it will be ok.

Finn sighed and set off along the narrow maintenance corridor. He remembered having surveyed them sometimes, when maintenance had to be done. He also remembered that the destroyers did not have presence sensors in these corridors for lack of budget and interest. No group could move simultaneously in these corridors. The passage was barely wider than a person. One behind the other, the two men continued for a few feet, then Finn noticed Poe with a grate under their feet. It gave off a foul odor that immediately gave him a big heart. Poe frowned and looked disgusted.

- No, man. I can not believe that's it, he whispered.

- And what did you think it was? "Evacuation of wastewater".

Poe looked up at Finn, looking deeply affected.

- Leia and Han told me about a garbage collection story. It looked good, that as plan. There ... I'm not sure.

- They also explained to you the hit of the compactor? Here we go, there is no compactor, Finn replied annoyed, pushing Poe in the back.

- Ok ... he sighed by lifting the grid.

He placed it beside him and took another second to observe. The duct seemed small but big enough to crawl. A slight slope slid the ... droppings into a muddy water. The coating was metallic, black and warm ...

He took courage with both hands and remembered why he was there. The resistance desperately needed Rey. Without her, they would find it difficult to rally new supporters, as the situation seemed hopeless. But the legend of the Jedi would attract new recruits, and then he liked her, to finish. Fortunately, Leïa had surpassed herself between her talents and her dual agent relationships to locate Rey. They now knew where to go to get her. He slid down the duct and crouched down. He realized very quickly that he had to get down on all fours and move forward so that Finn could come down too and close the gate.

He watched Finn go down and stepped back to give him room. Finn replaced the grill and went on all fours.

- I forbid you to speak of this on the return. I do not wanna talk about it.

Finn raised his hand in disgust and identified what appeared to be a dung stuck under it. He looked at Poe and nodded without saying a word. Poe turned around and they started following the conduit. The smell was unbearable, with no fresh air. Never had they endured such torture, and Poe came to the conclusion that even his muscular interrogation with Kylo Ren had not been so painful. He felt his knees begin to bleed from walking on them, and cramps descending into his leg.

Finn said nothing, he did not let anything appear. But his clenched teeth spoke for him. He was trying to stay motivated for the sole purpose of seeing Rey again. He had to. To leave her in the hands of this monster was unbearable. He had already seen what was happening to the prisoners, tortured, slaughtered ... to women it could be worse. He knew that few women worked here, and that men sometimes met their primary needs on prisoners when they had not been able to visit a brothel for a long time because of lack of power or financial means. He also knew that the First Order had turned a blind eye to these forbidden torture practices, but still in progress. To imagine Rey in such a situation was intolerable.

The journey began to get complicated. For reasons of maintenance in case of problem, few pipes were steep slope, but some passages were nonetheless. It was therefore necessary to take support on their four limbs and their back to get up in these cases, with more regularly excrement landing on their face ... They continued somehow and arrived at the intermediate tank of the corridor where Rey was detention. They had learned from their source that the corridor and adjoining cells were deserted because Rey was considered too dangerous. But two droids scanned the scene permanently to prevent any intrusion or escape. They exited the intermediate tank and found themselves in a maintenance lane identical to the one they had borrowed earlier. They took a few seconds to shake themselves off and try to remove as much residue from their bodies as possible.

They looked at each other. It was Poe who started from an irrepressible giggle first. Finn followed this momentum, and both tried to contain themselves so as not to make any noise. This laugh was a nervous laugh, at the absurdity of the situation and its dangerousness.

After having recovered their spirits, they dismounted the separating door between the maintenance corridor and his smells, and the corridor of the cells. That's where things got tough. Finn pulled a metal vial out of his jacket. Three droids as big as insects came out. He released them down the hall with the hope that they would do the job they expected. He first heard the alert beep from the sentry droids who had detected something, and then the reassuring clatter that indicated they had not detected a living presence. Then he heard the sound of the gnawed threads and finally the droids going to sleep. Poe sighed with satisfaction.

- Damn, these destructive mini-droids are worth their price. I do not know if the third is gone, but we have the free field!

Finn and Poe went out into the hallway. Rey's cell was the only one locked, so there was not much to look for to find it.
