Kylo walked quickly, followed by his Praetorian guard. He had taken over the red uniforms, and had engaged new guards. Men in whom he had full confidence, men who had all had to submit to a thorough interrogation on his part to probe their every desire and fault. Ten men particularly seasoned and motivated.

Kylo, however, hated having to move around. His nocturnal wanderings had at least the interest of giving him the freedom to be alone. To be an apprentice, master of Ren's knights with a latitude of movement and a possibility of solitude; to Supreme Leader of the First Order, with his loneliness of power but his eternal bubbling of staff was a real burden to him.He knew where to go, there was no way she would leave. He had worked too hard for that, he could not bear to lose her. She had to join him, or die. If she escaped again, she would rekindle the mad flame of rebellion throughout the galaxy. And his fate was sealed to hers, as he had seen in his visions.

He felt his chest tighten, smother him, as they approached the cells. His impassive face, despite the pain, was the result of years of torture inflicted by Snoke. He had to learn to endure, not to blink, to suffer without showing his weakness. He had learned well, and it served him every day. He was worried that Rey was already gone. But as he approached the cells, he felt her. He reassured himself.

- Stay here, he said to his guards, before entering the hallway.

He quickly opened the cell door. Rey jumped, she sleepy, tired, hungry, and bored. Without saying a word, he took her by the arm and lifted her up. She seemed so light under her strength. Rey looked at him and followed him without saying a word. At the sight of the guards, she questioned herself. Kylo felt his question, but preferred not to answer it. This would take the risk of letting her discover that someone wanted to rescue her, and give her desires for freedom even more than at this moment.

He did not take the time to handcuff her. His guard was trained to react if one of them was manipulated. The orders were clear, if one of them turned against the rest of the group, he would be immediately shot. And Kylo knew how powerful Rey was, but not to the point of manipulating all those hardened men simultaneously.

He made her enter the elevator leading to the private quarters of the Supreme Leader. His guard divided. Two men entered with them, the rest remained at the foot of the elevator to lock the access. Rey was burning to know what would happen to her. She had not heard a sound coming out of Kylo's mouth, had not seen anything around her as Kylo's guard had surrounded them. She did not even know if she had met other people. She had heard alarms, but could not identify their origin. And now she did not know where she was going. She persuaded herself not to be afraid. That would give Kylo what he wanted, and that was out of the question. She prepared herself for the purpose of a torture session, intended to make her bend to Kylo's wishes.

She was all the more surprised to find that she was now entering a huge and luxurious residential area. Kylo continued to pull her arm and led her straight to what appeared to be a small living room. Having finally released her, he pressed a button that closed the door behind him and lit the room at the same time. Rey, rubbing her arm where Kylo's firm grip had left a pain, quickly observed the room. A central table, two chairs, a sofa in the corner, a library at the other end. The room was small, bare but furnished with quality materials. The table and chairs were wooden, thing in a destroyer. No windows on the other hand. She looked up to observe Kylo. Was he finally going to tell her what she was doing there?

Kylo anticipated his request.

- You'll stay here for a while, a few hours at most. I will then transfer you to a confinement area, more comfortable than your cell. Your quarters are in preparation now.
