Dawn of a new Force

Chapter 30 - Ganaria.

Rey did not know Ganaria. When the approach alarm went on, she triggered the subliminic speed and saw a blue, radiant planet appear. Rey remembered their approach to Ach-To and her wonder at discovering a planet so covered with water. Ganaria had the same face in the distance, but as she started her descent, she saw that this planet was different.

Ganaria certainly had a vast expanse of water separating continents, but its waters were turquoise in places. The jungle covered almost all the land. Rey thought she had discovered a paradise. She flew over a part of the planet and soon her scanners detected an unusual concentration of ships. She decided to stay in altitude for the moment and looked for a place away to land. She had indeed a First Order shuttle, and she was afraid of being targeted if she approached with it.

Night had finally fallen when Rey approached the rebel camp. She discovered, spreading leaves of the lush flora of the island, a flotilla of brand new X-Wings reloading. She was amazed to see so many, and to see so many men and women around. The Resistance had grown so fast in her absence! She spread a little more leaves that barred the road to advance to the space hunters when she was seized with both arms behind her.

- Not a gesture! a woman came to her, threatening her with a blaster.

Rey froze and then turned to see who was behind her, and she saw a commando of eight people, two of whom were hugging her, and soon handcuffed her. She frowned and then looked at the woman in front of her.

- You're wrong, I'm from the Resistance, she said.

- We spotted your shuttle, taunted the young woman. And your suit is not ours, she finished.

- I can explain you.

- Yes, you will explain everything to us, we are counting on it, continued the woman.

Rey heard laughting behind her.

- Take me to Poe Dameron, he knows me. He's waiting for me.

- We'll see ... answered the woman dubitatively. Take her to a cell, I'll contact the command, she said to the others, motioning forward.

Rey realized that for those who did not know her, she could actually be considered a member of the First Order. She let herself be dragged along without resisting. As she passed through the  space hunters, she saw many eyes turning towards her, and she was soon driven into a large shed. Inside, other hunters, but also barracks. She was driven into one of them and someone closed the gate behind her.

Without a bench to sit on, and handcuffed in the back as she was, she found the time very long before she heard running noises coming towards her. She sat up and came to stick to the bars. Suddenly she saw Poe, Finn, Chewbacca and Rose emerge from the shadows. Finn rushed to her.

- Open, open! He shouted.

A man rushed to open and he took her in his arms.

- You are here! You are really here!

- Finn ... I missed you!

Finn noted that she still had her handcuffs. He glared at the man who started to untie her. When it was done, she was finally able to hug him. She notices Poe confirming her identity and giving orders to the man. Then Poe approached, and greeted her with a reserve that was unfamiliar to him.

- Hi, Rey. I'm sorry for what just happened, but it's the orders, we're watching any enemy intrusion.

- Do not worry, I can not blame you.

He looked up and down, and there was doubt on his face. Chewbacca did not have this restraint and Rey disappeared for a moment in a swirl of hair, then it was Rose's turn to take her in her arms. Only Poe remained behind, the mine dark. Rey had seen, and she approached him.
